Months had passed and you were still training with Salem and Cinder. You had gotten to know Emerald and Mercury better, not that you wanted to, but Cinder was still strange to you. Mostly cause she couldn't talk and didn't show much emotion while training, which is the only time you ever see her alone. "Hey Y/N, wanna spar?" You heard Emerald ask as you walked the palace halls. "Sure, got nothing better to do." You nodded your head as you followed her to the separate sparing room. "Oh yay look who else joined." Mercury groaned as he continued his pushups. "Good to see you to... Merc." You teased him by putting your foot on his back. "Stop playing with him, one day he'll really snap at you." Emerald warned as she stretched her arm over her head. "It's not like he can do anything, I'm stronger than him." You smirked referring to the countless times you've kicked his ass. "I think your just smarter, not stronger." Emerald countered as she got into a stance. "Could be..." You trailed off as you got in your own.

You sat on the floor as sweat drenched your body. Emerald and Merc both laid down, just as and if not more sweaty than you. "Up for more?" You asked the two of them as they groaned. They were good kids at heart, dragged into this... Almost like you. "Alright, I'll make us some dinner. Go ahead and clean u-" You were cut off as sounds of crying filled the halls. All of you looked at each other before scrambling to get up and to the door. The three of you peaking your head out as Tyrian stumbled into the main training hall where Salem and Cinder currently were. "His tail..." You mumbled as you watched it flail around in the air. "Is he crying because of his tail..?" Mercury mumbled earning him a elbow in the stomach. "Go to your rooms." You commanded them as you walked down the hall waiting outside the doors. You watched as they left to they're rooms not turning back to look at you the scrambled to get out of the area.

As you stood outside you heard his cry's, and then... Silence. The doors suddenly burst open as Salem walked out. "Salem..." You mumbled as she looked at you, almost as if she expected you to be outside. "Treat to his wounds and keep him in his room. I'll have Watts get him a new tail, until then you are in charge of him." She explained waiting for your response. "Yes mam." You nodded your head and waited until she was out of your line of sight before going into the room yourself. Your body froze as you watched Tyrians freak out, tongue sticking out as he massacred a grim. It was beyond dead at that point but he kept cutting into it like it was some ragdoll. Cinder turned to look at you trying to get words out bit she couldn't. "Go, Salem put me in charge of him." You motioned for her to get out. She wasted no time in doing so, only turning to give the scene one last look.

You stood there as his maniacal laughter died down. No tears left in his eyes as he was turned into a giggling mess. "You done yet?" You asked as his tail twitched. "If you are... Then stand up. I'm not going to carry-" You were cut off as his blade made contact with your left check. You quickly ducked his next attack and kicked him in the abdomen sending him flying. "I'm not going to play your games right now!" You yelled as he landed in a squatting position. "What do you plan on doing huh? Throwing a fit and then what? What would Salem do to you if she found out you did something to me?" You asked tilting your head as his smiled faded. "That's what I thought... Now stop messing around and let's go. Your tail looks infected." You mumbled as you walked out. You knew turning your back on him wasn't a good idea, especially not when he was in such a psychotic stage, but you scared some sense into him.

Just like you stated his would had gotten infected, and it was starting to show. His fever showed up later that night, he was delusional and it took you a while to get him to calm down. He was sleeping now, sweat drenched the sheets below him as he shifted every now and then. You sighed as the cut from earlier burned. Getting up and stretching you decide to get some stuff from your room before you had to watch him over the night.

You quietly closed the door and walked down the hall to your own. "What's up with Psycho?" You heard Mercury ask as he stood by your door. "I got stuck with babysitting duty, and his tail got infected so now he's even harder to deal with. He's delusional." You sighed as you stepped in, Merc following close behind you. "At least he won't be much of a problem without a tail now." He smiled as his fingers traced across the spine of your book. "Don't you have any comics?" He asked as you un-buttoned your shirt. "Is that all you read? That would actually explain a lot." You laughed as he glared at you. "Salem said something about getting Watts to make him a new tail or something so don't go getting used to this "power" you think you've obtained, now get out I need to change." You turned around in your undershirt pushing him out of the room. "You're no fun." He frowned as you slammed the door in his face. You quickly got changed into a pair of leggings and kept the undershirt on as you grabbed a book and made your way back to Tyrians room.

When you closed the door you found Tyrian stumbling to get up, mumbling something about proving his worth. "Hey, get back in the bed. You are delusional... More than you normally are, get back in the bed." He groaned like a little kid as he grabbed onto the little side table to stand up straight. You looked at the bed and remembered something you read about in a animal book when you were younger. "Scorpions hate the heat, they avoid it as much as possible..." Your eyes darted across the room as you peeled the sheets off the bed. You grabbed the bucket filled with water and got one of his shirts and dunked it in the cold water. You turned around and face the Faunus who was now on the floor passed out.

You groaned as you lifted him up in a sitting position taking his shirt off. You paused as your hand traced the scars that littered his chest and torso. "Wonder how he go those..." You thought as shifted. You quickly dismissed those thoughts as you put him in the wet shirt, then ripping a piece of the blanket and dipping it into the water you wrapped it around his head. You groaned as you lifted him up again this time laying him back down on his bed. Once you made sure he wouldn't thrash around you went to your seat in a corner of the room and read the book you had brought with you.

You woke up to the sound of rustling. Slowly you opened your eyes and took the book off your head. Tyrian was awake and sitting on the edge of his bed. "Lay back down." You mumbled as you stood up, cracking your back as you reached for the bucket. His eyes darted to you before landing back on the ground. You went to the bathroom and dumped the water out into the tub before filling it up with more cold water. When you walked back into the room you found Tyrian by the door. "Hey, get back here. I'm in charge of you now and I doubt Salem wants you to be wandering the halls in your current condition." You warned him as you placed the bucket down watching as he paced the room.

"What's on your mind?" You tiredly asked as you got tired of watching him pace. "How can I make this up to the queen? I had one task and I let her down!" He continued his pacing, a mixture of fear and worry on his face. "You'll get your chance to redeem yourself." You spoke as you got up and stood in front of him. "For now though, I'm going to need you to lay back down. You're not fully recovered and Watts is going to need you somewhat stable to work on your new tail." It seemed that reminding him only made things worse as he looked at the bandaged nub.

Your eye twitched as a fit of laughter overtook him. He was currently on his knees as a few of his tears hit the floor, his shoulders were shaking but you couldn't tell if it was because of his laughter or him crying. After you had enough you got up and stood in front of him, pulling him up by the collar of his shirt. He looked surprised by your actions. You brought your face close to his, squinting your eyes before talking. "Listen here, I've been here far longer than you have. Cooped up in this dark little palace and I don't have the trust Salem puts in the rest of you. Imagine how I feel, Spending most of my life training for something I don't even know if I want... Now you man up and stop your senseless crying, It will get you no where here... It'll only show the others how weak you truly are..." with that you left him to finish his little fit.
