You were kneeled infront of Salem as everyone was gathering around her. You felt sick to the bone having to kneel to someone like her but you needed to play along for as long as you could. You needed to find a way to contact the rest, to let them know you where safe and that you would not let them down. Your eyebrows stayed furrowed as Salem walked around the room, taking in everyone. "Tyrian has heard from our dear friend Watts, while he is still in captivity he has managed to work with Ironwood and take down the puppet that gained the winter maiden's powers." Your fist clenched as you thought about Penny. Tyrian and Emerald had been filling you in about everything that had happened while you were out.
Cinders cries of agony made you turn slightly in her direction. With a quiet growl you closed your eyes, trying your best to help alleviate her pain. While Cinder didn't notice, Salem did, throwing you a small glance before she continued her dialogue. "You'll only be helping her bring about the end for all of you!" Oscar yelled, your nails were digging into your skin at this point as you held back the urge to step in. Hazel slammed his shoulder onto the ground as he continued to struggle. "She's lied to all of you! Don't you get it!" Oscar kept yelling despite being treated so harshly. Salem's hand moved to grip his head back. You shot up from your spot and glared at the woman. "Keep your hands off of him." You growled as your fist shook in anger. "Keep your pet in check Tyrian, she steps out of line again and she'll suffer the consequences." Tyrian simply bowed his head as you continued glaring. Oscar was let go and a breath finally made its way past your lips.
"Hazel... Continue your interrogation." Hazel bowed his head before picking up Oscar once more. "I told you to keep your hands off of him! Let him be! He's just a kid! You out of anyone should know Hazel!" You yelled as you stepped closer only to be held back by Tyrian. "Apologies my Queen, I'll take care of this." Tyrian bowed slightly before trying to lead you away. "Get off of me you psychopath! Oscar, I promise we'll get out together!" Your eyes filled with tears as the both of you were dragged separate ways. "Y/N, don't worry about me! You get out, save yourself!" His words left a hole in your chest, how could you ever think of leaving him behind? Why would you ever leave him behind?
"The kid is right, but too bad your already here..." Tyrian sighed before he shoved you into an unoccupied room. "You really need to get a hold of yourself. One more outburst and I fear I won't be able to protect you from the Queen's wrath." Your fist clenched as anger coursed through your veins. "Then let her! I don't need you to try and protect me! If you really cared I wouldn't be here! I didn't ask for any of this... I should've perished with my home, I should've died at the hands of the grimm..." Your hands shook as your emotions got the best of you. Tears spilling down your cheeks as your composure slowly broke. "I'm weak... I'm useless... My life will be worth nothing in the end..." You trembled as you slowly slid down a wall, your whole body trembling.
Your own thoughts consumed you as you were close the verge of giving up all hope. "Now you man up and stop your senseless crying, It will get you no where here. It'll only show the others how weak you truly are... Those were the same words you said to me some time ago... Y/N... I don't want to see you the same way you saw me. Don't you ever regret being alive, were here and that's all we can do." His voice was calm as he sat next to you. "If anything you have more courage than I do, you are a strong one but I need you to stay alive until the very end... Never would I have thought that..." Your crying was reduced to sniffles as he shifted. You noticed the way he held his hands in fist, slowly you placed your hand on top of his. His eyes darted over to you as you gazed into his eyes.
"Tell me... Do you really... Ya know? Or is this some way to trick me?" You asked as you tilted your head. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked almost offended. "I am no liar, I speak only the truth... You are far more outstanding than any princess in a tower, you helped me... And in return I'll devote whatever I have left to you." A soft smile came to your lips before you shook your head and faced him. Not knowing what to say you sighed and looked down at your overlapped hands. In this moment there was only the two of you in the small room. His metallic tail made contact with your chin as he lifted your head up. You gazed into each other's eyes for a brief second before the gap started to close.
Your breath mixed together as he placed a small gentle kiss on your lips. Slowly the both of you leaned in for a second as his tail wrapped around you, a small hiss escaped your lips when it grazed a bruise. Tyrian quickly separated himself from you, looking down at your bruised abdomen. "I'm sorry... It had to be done..." His voice laced with remorse as he avoided eye contact. "Its fine, nothing we can do about it now..." You mumbled as you rested your head on his shoulder. Your eyes began to shut close when a knock disturbed the both of you.
Emerald stood at the doorway, a slightly surprised look on her face before she shook it off. "Salem request your presence Tyrian, it's to inform you of your new assignment." Tyrian nodded and carefully stood up as to not disturb you. "Leave her to rest, I won't be long." You sighed and closed your eyes once more, wanting nothing but darkness to overtake you.
