You stood next to Salem's chair in the room waiting for her arrival. All of her underlings were seated, some staring at you and others wondering who exactly you where. "It's been a long time hasn't it princess." Tyrian broke the silence as he let out his signature laugh. "Shut it." You told him not even sparing him a glance. "Feisty just like always aren't you... Say when's the last time you were given an assignment." He giggled knowing how to get on your nerves. "That's of no importance to you." You glared as the others took note of your attitude. "Tyrian seems well acquainted with you..." A man with a moustache waved his hand at you waiting for your response. "Y/N L/N." A muscular man then spoke. "Aren't you a bit to young to be here?" He asked as he stared at you for a moment. "I'm young... But old enough to know what I want." You responded causing Tyrian to burst out laughing. "Oh darling... You have no idea what you want-" he was cut of as the doors to the room opened. Salem walked to her seat in silence, the tension in the room getting thicker by the second.

"Where's Cinder?" Salem asked as she finally sat down. "Something about needing new recruits to help her... Honestly I don't think we need her." The smaller man spoke. "Then who would take the fall maidens power? I don't suppose you fit the requirements..." Salem spoke as you clenched your fist behind your back. "I wanted to introduce you to someone important, she'll play a major part in our plans. Y/N here has been training, perfecting her skills since she was young... She'll have no problem adapting to the winter maidens power, once we get a hold of her that is." Your eyes widened, a smirk playing on your lips as you looked at Salem. She had told you about the maidens countless times growing up, about how they had the ability to use magic, actual magic, not dust. "I won't let you down." A smile graced you face only for it to be gone with Hazel's response. "Can she even take down one of us... She doesn't seem experienced enough."

"I assure you I'm capable enough... Unless your doubting Salem, she is the one that trained me after all." You narrowed your eyes at the men, almost daring them to speak out. "Just wanted to make things clear..." You backed down as he avoided eye contact. "Do not question my decisions Watts, you know what happens to those who do." Salem spoke as she stood up. "Spend some time to get to know each other... And Tyrian... I'll let you take over her combat training for now. There are things I need to take care of for now." She walked away leaving you alone with the three men. "Looks like were going to be spend lots of time together now my dear princess." He circled around you letting his tail caress your hips. You felt a shiver go down your spine when he spoke, his breath tickling your ear. "That's enough Tyrian, you can play with her all you want when your training but not here." Hazel spoke as he stood up. "You're no fun..." He pouted as he untangle his tail from you.

"I've dealt with him long enough to grow accustomed to his... Behavior." You told Hazel as you passed him, trying to catch up to Salem. She was stationed in the far end of the hall gazing out the window, almost as if expecting you to talk to her. "Mother... If I may... Why haven't I been given any outside task's, like the others." You questioned as you stood behind her, being cautious of your wording and future response's. "I see you're still find of that title... If you truly want something you must take the first step yourself." You processed what she said as a small smile formed. "So you'll let me?" You asked trying to hide your excitement. "You'll have to tag along with one of the others, I can't give you your own task's just yet. While you do have strength you lack experience, show me that you can handle thing on your own and I shall reward you with what you wish for. Prove me wrong and... I think you know what happens then." She turned to face you and you nodded. "Yes ma'am. Who shall I be joining?" You asked as you followed her through the halls of the palace. "I'm sure you already know the answer to that... I'll let him know that you'll leave with him by dawn." And with that she walked away.

"Well would you look at that... My little princess is finally getting a chance to prove her worth." You sighed as you pulled your hood up tossing your small bag over your shoulder. "Let's go." You walked ahead of him watching grim emerge from the black pools below. He sighed and started to walk next to you. "What are we doing anyways..?" You asked after moments of silence. "I'm looking for the spring maiden, you on the other hand..." He let out a laugh as he stopped in his track's. "Just try not to get killed." He smirked as he started running. You quickly chasing after him. "You are fast... Let's just see if you can keep up." He laughed as you made it to a forest, finally getting out of Salem's lair. He jumped on a tree and you lost him, cursing under your breath you stood there.

You heard rustling and quickly drew your blade, waiting for his attack. You moved to the side just in time as he launched out of a tree with his queens servants. No words were spoken as the two of you fought, blocking and making swings at each other. He knocked your blades out of your hands making you jump back. You looked at the weapons one in either side of the man. He laughed, almost as if he could see the gears turning in your head. "What's the matter princess... I thought you were ready." He laughed as he caught you off guard, tripping you and pinning you to the ground. "You're good... But nowhere near our level." He smirked as he leaned down towards your ear. Your breath hitched as you felt his hot breath. "I know... But I can still manage." You quickly flipped him over and raced to your blades, feeling him in your tail you turned around and blocked his punch.
