You walked around town, a yawn slipping past your lips as you struggled to keep yourself awake. Ren had woken you up to get more things for breakfast since Jaune was taking care of his nephew and Nora would probably eat everything before arriving at the house. You and Nora had stayed up almost all night talking and getting to know each other. She told you stories about how they all used to go to beacon academy, to train and learn how to be huntsmen, and how they tried protecting their school when the white fang let grim into the school.
She told you about Pyrrha and how she died, and while you couldn't contribute much to the conversation she made you feel like you didn't have too. She helped you figure out that you loved books and that you liked the color purple.
You sighed as you reached the door, just as you were about to knock the door opened revealing the group of three. "Y/N! Good thing your here, team RWBY just got here and we're meeting up with them at the Atlas base." Jaune explained as he took the bag from your hands and placed it on the small coffee table. You nodded your head and the four of you made your way towards the base.
When you arrived to the base you saw the rest of your group talking with Cordovin. Nora started acting out when she turned to look at the four of you. "Nora, calm down." You nudged her in the side making her huff. "Well it's not my fault she's bitter!" You stifled a laugh, watching as Cordovins expression change. "Come on guys, we'll figure something out." Ruby sighed as they walked away from the base.
_______________________________"Y/N could you... Give us some time, we have a few things to discuss..." You sighed before getting up. "I'll be upstairs..." You huffed before standing up, taking your half finished food with you.
You hated that they sent you away, you've been with them nearly a month now but they still didn't trust you. It's like they were waiting for you to turn on them, to reveal that you were taking it all this time. Oscar and Nora where the only ones who seemed to complete trust you, and Ruby but she had her moments. You sighed and placed your food down, your appetite had gone. With a groan you plopped yourself on the bed, reaching for the book you were reading earlier.
You jumped slightly when a loud thud was heard. You walked towards the door, opening it slightly to hear what was being said. A name slipped past Jaunes lips making your head throb and images flash in your mind. You let out a scream as your head started to pound. Holding your head in your hands, as you slid down the wall.
"Y/N! Are you alright?" Nora asked as she rushed to your side, everyone was looking at you now. Your breath hitched as you tried to talk through the pain. "Who... Who is Salem?" You asked as your head continued to pound, a few tears streaming down your face. You looked around the room as they looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
"I'm tired of lies... So I will tell her if you don't." Jaune huffed as he let Oscar off the wall, slowly climbing up the stairs. Your breathing steadied as you got used to the pain, Nora still by your side and running a hand down your back as some sort of comfort. "Let's get you laid down, you need to rest." She mumbled as she lifted you up and helped you walk to your room.
You let out a huff when she placed you on the bed. "I'll try to find something for the pain..." She spoke softly before walking out and leaving you alone. You closed your eyes and leaned your head back, trying to distract yourself from the pain. A soft knock was heard on your door making you open one eye, Ruby standing at the door with a cup of tea and some pain killers.
Her footsteps echoed slightly as she made her way towards you, lifting the sheets slightly so she could sit down next to you. She handed you the cups and you blew on it slightly waiting for her to talk. She sighed and smoothed her skirt out, looking down at the floor instead of you. "I'm sorry for keeping that away from you... But I don't think it's the proper time to tell you." You furrowed your eyebrows, your chest rising slightly.
"Not because we don't trust you but because of your reaction... If you're in this much pain just from hearing her name who knows how you'll get if we tell you the whole thing. Even then you weren't on our side till not to long ago, our stories are different so you might not get them back even if we told you." She sighed before finally turning towards you. "I'm sorry but there's not much we can do... I want to help but, I just can't." You sighed before slowly nodding.
"So what now?" You asked finally drinking your tea. "I'm not sure... We need to let this die down and then regroup, but we'll make it to Atlas and to the General." She looked determined as she gave you a small smile. "I'll let you get some rest, I'll come get you when we've come up with a plan." She got up and gave you one last glance before leaving you with your own thoughts.
