Months had passed and you and  Tyrian were still looking for the spring maiden. You sat on a tree branch waiting for Tyrian to come back, he had gone out to get wood for a fire and left you to set up the tent. You had been done for a while and the sky was just about to set when you heard the crunching of leaves and sticks. Quickly sitting up your eyes darted looking for the source of the sound, hopping for a fight only to be disappointed when the familiar scorpion Faunus came into view. "Just you..." You mumbled as you hopped down the tree dusting yourself off. "You don't sound to happy my dear princess." He laughed as his tail swayed from side to side. "I'm not. I'll go get the food." You moved to your bag and got out some of the canned food he had purchased at the last village. "Next time can I get the food? I'm tired of eating canned beans and other junk." You sighed as you tossed him his portion. "You are not allowed to be seen princess, orders of the Queen." He growled as he placed his can by the fire letting it heat up. "Besides... You'll never truly survive out here unless you learn to adapt." He laughed as his tail swing some more.

"Is that thing like a dog's tail?" You broke his fit of laughter. He stared at you offended. "Do not compare my stinger to a dog's tail... Unless you want me to show you the difference." He pointed it at you letting poison drip from the tip, some dripping onto the fire. You leaned in taking the telson part of his tail and pointing it to yourself. "We both know your bluffing... Or you can go ahead and use your little stinger on me..." You stared each other down for a moment. He growled and flicked his tail away wrapping it around his waist. "That's what I thought." You sighed and opened your can to start eating. "If you weren't so valuable to the Queen you would've been gone a lot sooner." You rolled your eyes standing up and stretching. "I'm going to the tent, tell me if you need anything." You waved him off as you entered the tent. You unrolled your sleeping bag and played down placing your arms over your eyes. A couple of minutes passed and you heard the tent zipper open along with some rustling. You moved on your side, your back facing his usual spot. Closing your eyes you let yourself sleep.

Cold...

The cold had woken you up, your body trembled as your eyes opened to the pitch black darkness That night was colder than the previous ones. The fire had died somewhere in the middle of the night and your sleeping bag provided very minimal warmth. You looked around trying to find a way to warm yourself up. You could go outside and try to light another fire, that is if you knew how to start one, but you didn't. After moments of contemplating you growled and tried curling yourself up into a ball to create some type of warmth. After a few minutes of trying to get warm you felt a tail pulling you towards Tyrian. "Hey! What the hell! Let go of me!" You yelled as you were pressed against his chest. "You need the warmth princess... Stop moving or else I really will sting you." His laugh tickled your ear making you shift uncomfortably. You felt his breath even out after a couple minutes, his grip still strong around you. After a few moments of struggling and not being able to get out you gave up and instead laid there. "Might as well enjoy this..." You sighed and relaxed into the warm embrace.

You woke up to a slap a cross your face. "What the hell!" You yelled as you sat up, looking at Tyrian, you noticed he was still sleeping next to you. "S-Salem..." Your blood ran cold as you spotted Salem's seer. It floated outside and you quickly followed it, fixing yourself a bit as it stopped a couple of feet away from the tent. "What was that?" Her voice muffled by the thoughts in your head and the anxiety coursing through your veins. "I was cold last nigh and he was just keeping me warm... That's all it was." You gulped as you felt one of the tentacles move towards your neck. "For your own safety you better not be lying... Pack up and start heading towards the base, Cinder has successfully completed her task. Watts is waiting for you and Tyrian on the airship." The grip on your neck loosened and you nodded your head. "Yes ma'am... We'll be there as soon as possible." You rubbed your neck holding in your cough. "... I advise you not to get attached to anyone, things like love will bring you nothing but pain and disappointment." She finished talking and you watched as the Seer floated away. Your hands went to your neck as you felt the imprint of the tentacles.

"Well aren't you up early my dear princess..." You turned and saw Tyrian standing outside of the tent. "Pack up, Watts is waiting for us... Two clicks to the east." You mumbled as you took out your scroll checking his location. He grinned as you pushed past him, and started pulling the tent apart. Once everything was put up you started making your way towards the airship. "Did you sleep well last night?" He let out a laugh as you stopped in your track's. "Don't bring it up..." You mumbled as you continued to walk. "Did I offend you my princess? Or could it be that you enjoyed it more that you let on..." His laugh was cut short as your blade was pressed up against his cheek. His eyes changing from they're usual gold like color to the dark purple that many saw in they're last seconds of life. "I don't think you want to play this game princess..." He growled lightly as his tail unwrapped its self from his waist.

"Stop fooling around, we have to get back to base. Honestly I don't know why Salem put you two together if you can't even get along..." Watts interrupted as he spotted the two of you. You growled and drew your weapon back leaving Tyrian with a small cut on his cheek. You put your sword on your back and walked towards the airship, Tyrian trailing behind you. "Hazel?" You asked as you got aboard. "He's already there, Cinder and her... Posse are there too. He spoke as the airship lifted itself off the ground. You hummed as you stretched yourself out, giving out a small yawn. You spotted Tyrian giving you a sly smirk from the corner of your eye. "Creep..." You mumbled as you noticed blood dripping down his cut. You rolled your eyes before tossing him a small towel. He looked at it before lifting his hand up to it and licking the blood of his finger. He found your reaction amusing and bursted out in laughter. "Your a fucking weirdo." You furrowed your eyebrows as he laughed even more. "Oh, you are just so easy to tease my dear princess. Please do not take this to heart, but I enjoy your little reactions." He laughed as you glared at him.

"Yeah, yeah. Keep laughing and I'll cut your tongue off." You growled as you faced forward. "I'd like to see you try!" He laughed even more. You turned to Watts who simply shook his head at the two of you. "You guys seem like children, honestly can't I get a single moment of silence..." Watts sighed out while rubbing his temple. You smirked before looking over at Tyrian, taking a moment to yourselves, and laughing at the same time. Watts looked between the two of you and sighed once more. "It's nice to see the two of you share at least one thing in common..." He trailed off as the airship landed. Your laughter died down as you stood up and walked out into the grim wasteland. As you walked you and Tyrian would share small fits of laughter and smiles. "Alright enough you two." Watts spoke as you made it to the meeting room, it was a while since the last time you stepped inside the room. Watts opened the doors and everyone looked, your smile slowly fading, lips turning into a thin line as you straitened out your back and walked towards Salem's seat standing next to it. Tyrian on the other hand... Had kept giggling, his small smile never leaving his face.

Your eyes wandered towards the three people you hadn't seen last time. "You must be Cinder..." You nodded at her, she merely looked at you skeptically. She motioned for the green haired girl who quickly came to her side. "She want to know who you are..." The green haired girl asked and you lifted an eyebrow. "Names Y/N... Who are you?" You asked as she stood up straight. "I'm Emerald..." She motioned her head to some guy with Grey hair. "Mercury... Merc for short." He gave you a wink making you scowl. "Well if Cinder had shown up to the last one of these, she would know that Salem's plans on making me the winter maiden..." You trailed of as you looked out the window.

You drifted off into your thoughts as they're conversation faded into the back of your mind...
