Closets

Closets are for
clothes,
whether we wear them or not.
They are for the knick-knacks
we like to
hide away.
Closets are for the
art projects
we do
that
we mean to frame
someday.
Closets are for
those boots that
my mom gave me
to wear on special occasions.
Closets are for
the belts I use and the studded ones
from middle school.
Closets are not for people,
and they're
not for me.
