Eve walked into the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom, her head kept low. She made her way to a desk in the back of the class, the chair scraping against the floor as she sat down.

"You're early Noir", Professor Merrythought announced. Eve nodded, staring at her desk.

"Would you mind standing by the wall?" Professor Merrythought asked. "We've having assigned seats this year".

Eve rolled her eyes, standing up as she stood by the wall that was adjacent to the door. She didn't even notice the plethora of other students walking in as she was too busy staring at Tom's ring on her finger.

"Welcome to Defense Against The Dark Arts everyone!" Professor Merrythought smiled as she clasped her hands together. "We all have assigned seats for this year".

A few groans and complaints of the students were heard as they protested against this. Professor Merrythought began to announce the names as she walked towards the table in the front.

"Liz Nierling and Spencer McLaggen".

"Caledonia Shanks and Fabian Rosier".

Eve closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she stared at the ring. The dark cloud emerged into the ring, sinking into her flesh as the jolt of energy pierced through her.

"Tom Riddle and Rhea Sloane".

Eve watched as Tom went towards the table, Rhea following not too far. Her heart began to race as she patiently waited for her name.

"Evangeline Noir and Judas Valmont!"

Eve felt her breathing hitch as she heard the name she once knew too well. Her heart began to race, her hands becoming more shaky as she gracefully stuck her head out of her hiding spot, seeing the boy she once loved staring at her. His dark blonde curls and piercing blue eyes remained the same, his house was Gryffindor. She felt her legs turn to jello as she began to walk towards her seat.

Tom eyed Eve, her body language suggesting that something odd was happening. His heart ached as he noticed the boy eyeing her as she sat down.

"Vange", Judas muttered under his breath.

"Don't call me that", Eve said. "I fucking hate that name".

"You've become more beautiful since the last time I saw you", Judas breathed in awe.

"I wish I could say the same", Eve snapped, her eyes not meeting his.

"I've missed you", he whispered, leaning towards her. She felt his breath creep up her neck, sending uncomfortable goosebumps up her neck.

"You surely didn't when you were busy fucking Aurelia", Eve vociferated. She moved her eyes towards Tom, who was clearly staring at her. She felt her heart skip a beat as their eyes met, the energy protruding through her nerves.

"I'm sorry", Judas replied. "Shall we talk later today?"

"I don't talk to losers", Eve muttered. "Or cheaters. Or liars".

Judas backed up a bit, looking at the girl he hurt terribly. "You've changed a lot Vangie".

Eve rolled her eyes, staring straight ahead towards the front of the class. She could feel Tom's stare searing into her skull as he watched her every move.

She picked up her quill, writing down things that Professor Merrythought spoke about during the lesson. Eve closed her eyes as she felt Judas near her again, his hand touching her thigh.

"I should have fucked you when I had the chance", he whispered, Eve feeling more disgusted by him.

"Do you ever learn how to fuck off?" Eve hissed as she moved away from Judas. He glared at her, their eyes burning in pure hatred.
