9:30, the clock read. Eve peeked out her window, noticing how dark it had gotten. Rhea was out with Mulciber again. But as long as she was safe, everything was good.

Eve was wearing a long black silk dress, her dark hair loose, necklace clasped in the back. She put on her shoes and opened the door to her dorm gently.

Her mind raced, thinking about everything lately. She clearly remembered what she smelled when everyone was testing their Amortentia.

Firewood, cologne, pine and a hint of cinnamon. She noted that Tom smelled exactly like that but she didn't think she would smell him.

The air was cool tonight, goosebumps appearing on her skin. She made sure to walk fast but not too fast so she didn't appear suspicious. Eve crossed her arms, walking towards the Astronomy Tower.

Tom leaned against the railing, letting himself have a clear view of the sky. The moon was a waning crescent, small stars surrounding the moon.

He sighed.

He wanted to see Eve, badly. Although he had the choice to either kill her off or persuade her into joining him, he felt as though it would be difficult. She seemed complex.

He heard footsteps approach him, the scent of raspberry, vanilla, and black cherry enclosing him into its embrace. The energy he had felt when he first saw Eve wasn't as powerful as it used to be. Strange, he thought.

"You wanted to see me?" Eve asked, her voice rising at the end, indicating that it was a question.

Tom turned around and saw her. The dress loosely fit her but he could still see her curves and how the dress fit her perfectly on her hips. He walked towards her.

"Eve", Tom began. "I want to get to know you".

He looked her, her expression still blank. He wanted to know what was going through her mind. But he couldn't.

"Why would you want to do that?" she asked. "Silly boy". She walked towards the railing, her hand cupping her cheek as she stared up at the beautiful sky.

"You intrigue me Eve", Tom said. "And I am hardly ever intrigued by anyone. You managed to become top student in the classes we have together".

Eve stared at the sky, calculating what her response would be. She always had something say but at this moment, it was as though her brain had been squeezed of all thought.

"I'm not one to be understood", she responded. Her eyes met his, their heartbeats in synch. "No matter how hard you try, you will never know me".

The silence was comforting as it wrapped the two of them up in its arms. Eve stared out at the sky while Tom watched her face. He didn't know how he would manipulate her into doing what he wanted. She was so reserved.

"Evangeline", Tom said. "I hope one day I get to know you".

She looked at him, slowly walking towards him.

"I remember when I first saw you", she began. "It was at my father's funeral. I was six and I remember seeing a boy from a window". She paused for a moment, twirling her necklace around her finger.

"Although the distance between us was immaculate, something in me told me that I'd meet you again. And here we are", she finished.

He watched her eyes as they harbored a very sultry look to them, her voice being more seductive than it was before.

He suddenly remembered the funeral he witnessed when he was a little boy. The girl in black. The red glint. Everything began to fall into place.

"Eve I remember you", Tom replied. She shot him a wry smile.

"Of course you do".

Abraxas sat on a couch in the Slytherin common room, his hands in his hair. He felt a strange lustful desire for Eve but he didn't know how he would act on it.

"Should I ask her to blow me off or something?" questioned Abraxas, looking at Jude and Fabian.

"Well yes, honesty is always good. But Riddle literally beat you up for being near her", Jude remarked.

Abraxas remembered how Eve kissed him at the party. That mere kiss that she had probably forgetting had fed his pathetic want for her. Fuck.

"When did Riddle start caring about anyone but himself?" Abraxas hollered. Jude and Fabian looked at him, shock filling the air within them.

"You still have Cleo to mess with", Fabian reminded.

"I can't. I miss her but it's obvious she's over me", Abraxas said in a dramatic tone.

"Then why are you trying to go for Noir? You know she's with Cleo all the time", pointed out Jude.

Abraxas stared at Jude for a bit. He did make a good point there. Why do I want Noir?, Abraxas thought.

Tom walked beside Eve, their hands brushing against each other slightly.

"I swear I saw Mulciber with that Sloane girl", Tom said as he put his hand on the small of Eve's back. She looked up at him. He swore he saw a hint of lust grow in her eyes.

"Also since it is quite late, would you like to sleep in my dorm tonight?" Tom asked.

Eve looked up at Tom as he asked this, her mind starting to formulate what she was going to say. She craved physical affection but emotional attachment was something she despised.

"I'd love to sleep in your dorm tonight", she smiled. He looked her, a bit surprised that she basically said yes.

The two of them walked together, the distance between them becoming less and less as they neared each other. Tom put his arm around her shoulder, causing her to snap her head towards him.

"I'm just feeling possessive tonight", he murmured, tightening his grip around her.

She felt her jump when he said this. Do I tell him I like him? No.

Tom felt as though she belonged to him although they weren't even officially together. He already had the idea that she was his equal, he would either have to kill her or talk her into joining him. His grip tightened even more, causing Eve to let out a gasp.

"Pureblood", Tom said as the door to the Slytherin common room opened.

As they entered, Eve noticed Abraxas sitting on one of the sofas, his eyes meeting her's.

Tom yanked Eve closer to him as he felt Avery and Rosier's eyes following them.

Abraxas continued watching them until they disappeared into the boys' dormitories. God damnit I'm always late, Abraxas thought to himself.
