As the train entered England, Eve felt at home at last. All their stuff had been transferred back to the home she once lived in as a child.
"I'm going to visit Gringotts as soon as we settle in. Your father left behind quite a fortune", Cordelia stated.
Eve then thought about her father. His involvement with dark magic. Her hand snaked it's way to her coat pocket, where the forbidden book sat. She hoped to read it when they got home.

Tom felt as though he was going to explode. The energy had been buzzing through him all day and it only got worse the further the day progressed. He didn't understand why he was feeling this way. Maybe it's a sign that I will meet my equal, he thought. He let out a chuckle. No one could ever be as powerful as me, he smiled. Of course he thought that. He was also painfully arrogant.

Cordelia and Eve were finally dropped off in front of their soon-to-be home. Memories flooded Eve's mind when she looked up at the house.Mum making spaghetti for dinner as I sat on the floor, playing with toys while a piano played in the background.
Eve smiled at the memory as her mother opened the door with the key. The house was already decorated as the people who moved the furniture had the decency to furnish it. It looks just like how it did when I was little, Eve thought. She kept a tight grip to Jinx as she made her way upstairs.
Entering her room, it looked stunning. The walls were painted a grey purple color. Eve walked over to the bay window that was across her room, kneeling down on the cushion. From her window, she could make out a small field. Beyond the field, laid a small cemetery. She felt a strange pang of energy shoot through her body. What the hell, she thought.
"Evangeline Sinclair Noir, get down here now!", yelled Cordelia. She searched through the shelves but she couldn't find it.
Eve ran down the stairs, meeting her mother.
"What?" she asked, taking her black hair out of its ponytail.
"Have you seen a black book with purple details on it?" interrogated Cordelia.
Secrets of the Darkest Art, Eve thought.
"No, I haven't. Are you sure you packed it?" she replied, looking at her mother.
Cordelia studied her daughter's face. She couldn't tell if Eve was lying or not. She sighed and dismissed Eve, continuing to rummage through the boxes.
Eve retreated to her room, changing into a black turtle neck, black tights, and a black pleated skirt. She put on her necklace as she noticed how dark it was getting outside.
Eve stood up, listening closely. She could hear the wood stairs creaking as her mother walked up the stairs and down the hall. Eve pressed her ear against her door, hearing her mother close the door to her own room.
Opening the door to her room slowly, she tiptoed down the stairs. She made sure to walk on the sides of the steps because she knew well that they wouldn't creak. Her body snaked into the kitchen, plucking a rose out of the vase that sat on the table. She then put on her boots and crawled out the back door, praying that it wouldn't make any noise as she slowly opened it.

Tom entered the cemetery, holding his cigarette. He put it to his lips, inhaling the toxic smoke and exhaling it. He walked towards the headstone he had been visiting often for the past few weeks now. His eyes scanned the cemetery for anyone that could be out this late hour. He walked closer, the energy slowly mellowing out."Lawrence, I'm here", Tom said.
No reply.
God damn Lawrence, Tom thought, bringing the cigarette to his lips again.
That's when Tom's attention was diverted to the squeaking gate of the cemetery. He dove behind the headstone, quietly putting out his cigarette. He heard the footsteps stop at the headstone he was at.
"Hey dad", a voice said. That's when the energy started to act up. He started to feel warm and strange again.
Dad?, Tom thought. This is strange.
"I miss you a lot dad, I wish you were here". The voice belonged to a girl who was about to cry due to the breaking in her voice.
Eve laid the rose down on her father's grave. She missed him so much. But she wasn't able to cry due to the fact that she felt as though she was going to explode.
She felt this strange sensation of energy, as though she was about to burst into a strange spasm. As she stood up and walked further from her dad's grave, the energy felt more and more dissolved. She also smelled cigarettes near her father's grave.
Weird, she thought.
Tom watched the girl walk away, the energy calming down. It was her, he thought. She's my main target, she has to be my equal. He stood up as soon as she was out of his sight. He returned to the orphanage, laying in his bed.
Maybe she's the important thing Lawrence talked about, Tom thought before he shut his eyes.

Evangeline stared at the book laying on her desk. As much as she wanted to read it, she felt too tired. But curiosity ate away at her again and she chose to read it.Opening up the book, she read the table of contents. A title caught her attention and slightly threw her off.
Horcruxes and the History.
Curiously, Eve flipped to that page, her eyes scanning the words. The more she read, the more illegal it felt. It felt so wrong. She closed the book gently before sliding it under her bed. She had a lot to do this week. Organize her stuff, mentally prepare herself for Hogwarts, and figure out why she felt pangs of energy at the most strangest times.
