The Great Hall seemed as normal as it did on any other day as Eve walked in, sitting down across from Rhea. Her mind was focused on two things - her Yule Ball dress and who she would be going with.

The sound of wings flapping is what drew Eve's attention to the ceiling, watching the plethora of owls fly above her. She then noticed an owl flying towards her, its claws releasing a package on the top of Eve's head. She caught the package just before it fluttered onto her head, a letter flying its way down to the table in front of her.

"What in the hell did you get?" Rhea asked as she removed her gaze from her book. Eve looked up at her, picking up the letter that laid right in front of her.

"Perhaps we should wait until the classes are over", Eve methodically said as she eyed the letter.

"For what?".

Eve snapped her gaze up to see Robert, who was now seating himself next to Rhea. He wrapped his arms around the petite girl, kissing her cheek lovingly. Eve moved her eyes down to the letter, reading the words written on the envelope.

To my sweetest Evangeline.

She had managed to make out the writing to be her mother's as she knew well that nobody else used magenta wax to seal it shut. Eve sighed deeply as she began to tear the wax seal, trying to ignore the fact that Tom's eyes were burning holes into her skull. Once again.

Thank Merlin you owled me just in time, Eve. I in fact did find a marvelous dark cherry red gown in one of the rooms. I believe you will look magnificent in it.
- Cordelia Noir.

Eve moved her gaze to the package, realizing that it must have been the gown that was contained within. She slowly stood up, tucking the letter into her bag before grabbing her package.

"I'm going down to the dungeons", Eve muttered as she began to make her way out. Her eyes fluttered shut for a bit, inhaling deeply as she began to walk down the hall of Hogwarts, happy that the halls were empty. She opened her eyes again, watching the floor as she noticed a shadow that was merely inches away from her own. Her feet stopped in their tracks, watching as the shadow stopped exactly as she did.

"Where are you going?". The familiar voice of Tom circled around her as she turned around, staring at him.

"My dorm, Riddle", Eve spoke deeply. Their eyes met, the energy stabbing the two of them through their chests. The tension was thick between them as Tom neared the girl, hovering over her.

"Why's that?".

Eve observed his face more, staring into his eyes that seemed to be their normal deep brown color. However she was quick enough to notice the red specks that were in his irises.

"To drop off my dress for the Yule Ball".

Riddle stared at the girl a bit more before he leaned down, his lips grazing against her lobe.

"Do accompany me to this ball", he spat with venom. "And that wasn't a request".

Eve shot him a nasty glare, tightening her grip around her package.

"I'll get back to you with that, yeah?".

Tom massaged his chin with his index finger and thumb, eyes narrowing at the girl.
