"then you can live on with your life, stress and worry free" aubrielle answered, "that's what you want, isn't? what you're hoping for?"

"no. we're really not going to talk to each other? at all?" daniel asked, flipping his phone, seated on the chair

"i don't see a point that you'll stick around" aubrielle shrugged, "you know my difficulty with men, it's just better that way"

"im not sure what you went through, but I'm not a bad person, so stop judging off the ones you met and start listening to who i actually am" daniel insisted, "tell me one thing i've done wrong, and i can guarantee that it's some misinterpretation"

"if this goes positive, and you have two kids. you seem to still care what your management says" she shrugged

"okay, that's true, but this isn't just for me" he said, "once they figure out you're the mother, you're dragged into this too"

"and if i didn't want to be? who said i had to listen? i can easily just move and nobody would be able to find me" she shrugged

"what about james? what about me? no, you can't, you're not" he shook his head, "i won't let you move away"

"i wasn't asking for permission. plus, it was just a suggestion" she shrugged

"and it's staying that way" he stood up, walking over to her to stand next to the chair, "tell me what i've done wrong, why you don't like me"

aubrielle sat there in silence, she could come up with a few things. like how he responded to her pregnancy. how they just argue and it seems like they'll never get along. how he's still only here because of james, and that might just be pressured with guilt. but each and every one, she found a reason behind it. she practically responded the same way. she was only encouraging the arguments, especially when she's the one starting it. she was the one who technically put the pressure on him. so she shrugged. she was simply to scared to admit it. she was scared to let him in only to break her heart. she was scared that he could be here one day and completely gone the next. because he had that power, anyone did, really.

"then how about after this appointment, we go get lunch" he suggested and the girls blue eyes widened as her head snapped to him, "c'mon, i'm not that bad. we can even talk about james and the results" he spoke nonchalantly

if they were going to have to take care of two children together. aubrielle would need to learn to not argue with him. she couldn't have her son growing up in that type of environment. it was already as bad as it is. so she sighed and nodded her head, "okay, lunch it is"

"great! when do you have your days off?"

"friday, saturday, and sunday, usually. it's because i get my work done earlier in the week" she shrugged, "it's not like a job with shifts, you get assigned work, and you get it done by a certain due date" she explained, "it's like college, except your work isn't going to a teacher, and to the world"

"that's nice, guess we have the same concept with work then. i'm assuming you work at home and you can get called in for mettings?" he questioned, and i nodded my head,  "does tuesday work for you? around noon"

"i can make it work, yeah. hailey actually recently got fired from her job" she shared, "sorry" she quickly blurted, hovering a hand on her mouth, "i don't know why i told you that"
