"what are you saying?" aubrielle asked. she knew exactly what he was saying, she just didn't want to believe it.

"i'm saying that we both drink to forget our problems," daniel repeated. it couldn't have gotten more obvious than that.

"you know my problems, so what are yours?" aubrielle asked. she was facing daniel and the last of her interests were going back inside.

daniel sucked in a breath before speaking to prepare himself, "the first time I met you, my ex girlfriend and I took a break; and ever since that break everything went down hill. so when i met you the second time, we were broken up for good and i was convinced to go out and have some fun to cope with the breakup" he explained, his words were quiet and slow.

"and you're saying this because you think we both drink to forget our problems?" aubrielle asked for him to clarify, something she wanted.

"not think, i know that's what we do" daniel corrected, "that's not the only thing we have in common though. that's just one thing i know you didn't think of," he explained

"clever," aubrielle responded, sending him a smile, "and we cope with breakups very differently. i close up, you open up"

"i wouldn't call going to a club opening up," daniel said, his eyebrows raising as he spoke, "i'd count this though"

"then i'm glad you did," aubrielle responded, turning around to finally go into the sliding doors. daniel followed in behind her, glancing at aubrielle before looking at the adorable sight in front of them. both jeff and keri were taking pictures with him, guess it's normal for him being their first grandson. "they're happy," she said and daniel nodded his head.

"too bad you guys can't stay," keri said, and judging by the look on aubrielle's face she spoke again, "daniel said you two had some bills to take care of,"

"right, yeah, it was nice seeing you again" aubrielle responded

"we'll see you when you come back, i don't see myself leaving this cutie without needing too," jeff said, "plus, keri and i have experience, anna-"

"hey, i'm good with kids!" anna defended putting her hands on her hips for the extra measure.

"then, we'll see the three of you later," daniel said, "c'mon shortcake, let's go"

"i thought you stopped calling me that" aubrielle mumbled, nevertheless going out the door. this would be the first time she's left james to be babysitted with people other than nicolette and hailey. yet, she left without much hesitation; unless you count the confusion about the bills. she thought that she was going to do that on her own.

"i would never stop calling you that," daniel quietly replied, following the girl out the door and picking up his car keys along the way. he may or may not have told his mom that he had to go pay for bills, and as soon as that came up, the offer for babysitting went along with it, and before he knew it, it was the plan. well, for the people babysitting. daniel would much rather do something better than bills.

he unlocked the car and she got in, they each buckled up and eventually were on a main road with traffic. "which way are you going?" aubrielle asked, "because it would be faster to take the freeway"

"we're not paying bills" daniel replied

"okay, then what are we doing?" she asked, looking around the street.
