bonus chapter:

in which they take a trip to kauai, hawaii

this takes place a bit after the last chapter, still 2025.

 the family of four were visiting kauai, hawaii. there was a bright blue sky that held a few white clouds. the sun was shining down on them as they walked up the driveway. a more than warm temperature settled on them as they brought their luggage out of the uber.

james dan was jumping in excitement in his black sneakers, moss colored paints, and a simple white shirt with a yellow sun on the back. his brown hair wasn't the mop it usually was. instead of resting just above his eyebrows it was styled up with a bit of gel. aubrielle said he looked like, 2017 daniel which grew with it's own interesting conversation. 

aubrielle had a backpack and a suitcase as she happily followed her son with a bright smile on her face. she was wearing a light yellow stripped jumpsuit with a decorative bow on the waist and tan wedges. even with the extra height she was still shorter than daniel.

feredy ann was right behind james, with just as big as a smile on her face. she was adorably matching her mom with a yellow stripped romper. her hair was in a ponytail and the many baby hairs were brushed back with a cute yellow headband. something she had insisted on wearing.

 daniel grabbed the rest of the luggage following his loved ones to the house. he was wearing a fun green colored cargo jeans with a pastel colored shirt, the sleeves were blue and the rest was a calm yellow.

aubrielle had briefly met gabriela a few times of the course of three years. they actually first got into contact when daniel went away for tour, seeing that the situation was so similar to her own. they had a lot in common and bonded over it, along with their own interests.

jack exited the house with a smile in greeting as he gave aubrielle a tight hug, "hey guys!" he cheered before giving daniel a bro-hug. lavender may soon came skipping out of the door, her smile brought her chubby cheeks up and her brown curls bounced as she ran to james and feredy. the three toddlers got into their own hug receiving several awe's.

daniel swung an arm around aubrielle, "don't stare too long because you'll start crying," he said matter-of-factly as he gently booped aubrielles nose. shortly admiring the freckles that seemed to be even more visible when the sun shined on them as they entered the house.

it was a nice house, it was nice and open and there were many colorful accents that made the house a home. the decoration was beautiful, the view was marvelous, and the people living inside were wonderful. "long time no see," gabriela greeted aubrielle with a tight hug and daniel with a much shorter on.

"i know, and i still can't get over how tall you are," aubrielle admitted as a small giggle left her lips. her focus went from the woman in front of her to the three children who came running in with their own pleasant laughs and adorable smiles.

when they met the first time, it was as if they knew each other for years. if that were possible with their young ages. they seemed really bonded and their parents were glad for that. nothing like watching your children interact with humans their age so well.

"elle and I got an airbnb a bit away to stay for a few days but feredy insisted on coming here first," daniel explained as he moved all the luggage next to a kitchen counter so it was out of the way.
