"I don't know, I'm living fine here" aubrielle said, bringing a large bowl of popcorn to the couch.
"um, excuse me?" hailey drawled out, she was sitting next to nicolette in aubrielle's apartment.
"elle, you've barely paid the hospital bills for james and it's just going to be more expensive when this one comes along." nicolette explained, "yes you might be fine and managing now. but when you give birth, numbers are only going to rise and it's going to be even more difficult for you to provide for both james and the baby"
"i know but-" aubrielle couldn't even finish her argument. they had been going reason after reason on why aubrielle should move in with daniel and his brothers and why she wasn't sure. and hailey had had enough of it.
"for fucks sake! get over your fear and just move in! if things go wrong you'll just move out and we'll be right there for you but there's no reason for you to not move in. so stop being selfish and move in with him because it's going to be good for all four of you!" hailey yelled. she didn't need to worry because daniel came over in the morning and insisted on taking a walk with james.
something aubrielle was completely hesitant over because she hasn't directly left james with daniel. but in the end she trusted him and she knew that nothing would go wrong and james was in good hands.
"...in other words. move in, if you don't like it we'll be here and if you do, that's great. it's a better solution for four people: you, daniel, james, and the one on the way." nicolette calmly said. ignoring hailey's outburst.
"I'll think about it," aubrielle shortly responded. hailey was going to retort but nicolette cut her off.
"that's all we ask," nicolette responded. the trio sat in silence as they watched a netflix show hailey had been dying to watch. she insisted several times that they all had to watch it and it was rare when their schedules would match up. so she took advantage of it and made sure that nicolette's boyfriend wouldn't care that she may or may not have cancelled their date just so she can watch the show with her and aubrielle.
after a few episodes of the netflix show and a refill on the popcorn bowl hailey had consumed in one episode. daniel had opened the front door to aubrielle's apartment, james rested on his side. aubrielle stood up at his appearance and reached for james, "how was the walk?" she asked. she would much rather make conversation with daniel rather than watching a show filled with vampires and humans coexisting. not that having a conversation with him was horrible, at least not anymore.
"it was good, you should've seen his reaction when he saw this pomeranian" daniel excitedly spoke. on his walk with james, they had passed by a pomeranian being walked and james was more than thrilled to see a moving fluff ball.
"yeah? was he able to pet the puppy?" aubrielle asked and daniel hesitated before speaking.
"is this a trick question? because the way you asked made it seem like a trick question. was I not supposed to let him pet the dog?" he questioned, admitting in the process.
as always, aubrielle found amusement in this. "no, he's allergic to dogs." she replied walking to her dining table to sit down, "good thing you didn't let him touch the dog though"
"oh no" daniel mumbled, "I did let him pet the dog, I didn't know, I'm sorry, what do we do now?" he frantically rambled
