bonus chapter:

the public finds out daniel has a kid, idea from user GOLDEYLOCS

this takes place a month after feredy was born, so we're technically going back in time from the last chapter, january 2023.

daniel anticipatedly hovered his thumb over the bright screen of his phone. aubrielle curiously watched him with an anxious feeling building in her stomach. james was mindlessly playing on the ground with a soccer ball and feredy was peacefully sleeping in aubrielles arms.

daniel sat for hours thinking of how to tell the public he had a kid, well, that he had two kids. he eventually decided that it would be much easier to tell the world of one of them first, and eventually tell them about the second. to him, it made more sense to do the youngest, the one he was there when she was born.

in ten pictures, for a post on instagram, he is telling the world he has a newborn. he thought and thought on how he can tell the public, 'hey guyzz, i have a kid now jskjwinde' no, no, 'feredy ann seavey', no, no, too vague. eventually with about a hundred of ideas with one or two changes on the wording he decided in short paragraph to caption the ten photos of feredy ann seavey.

"feredy ann seavey, it's been a whole month with you in this world and yet words are out of my mind to describe what a wonderful gift you are. you have brought many things to my life, and many of them, I'm in love with. I love the way your cheeks rise up when you smile, the color of your blue eyes, and when you immediately stop crying when i hold you in my arms. I love the people you have brought me to meet and endlessly fall in love with. I can't wait to show you my passion in music, how to have style because out of me and your mom, I have way better style. just to be able to talk and sing to you, and seeing you in my arms is already a gift to me. thank you feredy for all these joys, and thank you to my shortcake for this gift."

in one movement in his thumb, it had pressed against the screen and touched the post button. in a few seconds his supporters are going to virtually meet his daughter. in a few seconds his daughter is going to be out in the public. in a few seconds both of his worlds are going to collide. daniel just wasn't sure if he was more excited or anxious for the fact.

aubrielle on the other hand was a bit nervous of the concept of it. she knew how much trouble and attention him being shipped caused in their side of the media. all she could do was hope that the fan response to this was pleasant and welcoming.

daniel had shortly insisted that aubrielle can also be introduced into the media, and officially announce their relationship. but aubrielle decided that the media wasn't her type of tea, so for now, she would rather not have to feel an obligation to make herself public along with something she truly values, her relationship. but they mutually agreed on daniel hinting the fact in his caption, who knows if people would catch on.

daniel had set his phone down with a large sigh, he decided he would wait a minute or two. he quickly stood up from his chair and went out the sliding door, even when aubrielle had called his names a few time. daniel still went out without an explanation and started to run around the pool to cool off some nerves.

eventually he had come back inside and made eye contact with aubrielle, a long glance at feredy then james, and back to aubrielle, "okay, i'm ready," he decided and aubrielle let the small laugh escape her lips. she just thought it was funny how he essentially had to get ready. a few laps around the pool never hurt nobody.

daniel quickly walked over to his phone before hesitantly pausing over it. he picked it up and flipped his phone once before unlocking it and looking at the screen. which had the first of many photos, one month old feredy in his arms.

he clicked to view comments with his breath hitched in his throat. this was it, the introduction of two important and loved things are finally colliding. honestly he was quite shocked he kept it a secret for so long, although a few mishaps had happened, they weren't enough for anyone to catch on.

his breath released and a smile made his way to his face when he realized majority of the comments were positive, excited, and shocked in a good way about the big news. he read several saying happy one month to feredy, a few loving the name and recognizing it from an interview, and many, many others of overall positivity. he couldn't ask for anything better!

although, there were still some negative comments and ones where were disgustingly confused, daniel didn't pay them any means though. even if he had skimmed through a few his excitement for everything else had overwhelmed it. he let out a yell in excitement and ran up to aubrielle and gave her a big hug. careful enough to not wake or hurt feredy.

he gently brought his hands to feredy's small face and kissed her forehead. he admired as her small smile had become slightly wider at the action. feredy ann seavey was officially announced to the world. now it was just james, and he wondered how he would do it.

i know it's short and it sucks because of how long it takes me to update I don't think this chapter is worth it. but rather rewriting something so it flows rather than adding something onto it, or just not doing the chapter as a whole, I'm going to leave it be so here it is!

another chapter should be out very soon, it's also going to be the last chapter of this book, I would ask for guesses but I've mentioned it a few times already. so instead let me give you a cringe warning! this is my first and probably last (but we never know) writing this type of content so do not expect anything royalty! lol.
