Lunch Break

~Aqua's POV~

As Wakko and his siblings parted ways with me. I looked back at the rose and smiled.

"Dr. Waters, is everything alright?" Dr. Scratchensniff asked me.

"Yes sir. Everything's alright."

"Are you certain?"

"I'm sure Doctor."

"Wakko hasn't done anything zany to you? It was really quiet in your office."

"Not a lick. He actually stayed still for me."

"Really now?"

"Yes. Also, here's the report that you told me to record for him." I said as I gave him the clipboard with all the notes I've wrote down.

As he was reading them, he keeps adjusting his glasses. "Oh my. No wonder he is different today. He's fallen in love! But who can he be in love with?"

"The world may never know." I shrugged and smelled the rose that Wakko gave me.

"What's with the yellow flower?" he noticed it in my hands.

"He actually gave this rose to me as an apology gift for when he pounced on me earlier."

"That is pretty new to me. Usually he just laughs and leaves." he said as he had his hand on his chin.

"Well maybe it's because I'm a girl and he acted pretty different with me."

"I'm starting to think that Wakko is starting to become more normal when he is with you."

"You think so?"

"I think so to the fullest. I think you should have Wakko more often so he can start staying still more."

"Maybe I should try his other siblings too once in a while?"

"I'll make sure they're put on leashes."

"Thanks Doctor, but I don't think there's no need for that."

"But they'll drive you crazy!"

"I've handled crazy people before like metal headed overlords and chewing gum aliens." I giggled.

"Alright." he said as he looked at his watch. "It's lunch time already? Wow this day went by pretty quick."

"I told Wakko the exact same thing about what happens when we talk to each other."

"I'll say. You're free to go out and eat lunch. Just make sure you clock out before heading out of here."

"I will sir. Have a good lunch doctor." I said as I wave to him.

"You too doctor." he said as he went into his office.

I went to the main office and clocked myself out for lunch. "Hello Nurse, I'm heading out for lunch now. See you later." I waved to her as I headed out the door.

"Alright." she waved to me.

After I went out the door, I heard the hustling and bustling that was going on in the movie lot. I went down the stairs and decided to take a look around to see what amazing sites there were to see. I started walking passed the many warehouses that were filming many movies. As I made it to the toll gate, I greeted myself to Ralph. "Good afternoon Ralph."

"Hey Doctor. How's your day here?"

"It's turning out great. I love it here."

"T-That's good to hear." he stuttered.

"You wouldn't mind opening the gate for me, will you?"

"Not at all." he smiled and opened the gate for me. "Have a good lunch." he said as he was eating a tuna fish sandwich.

"Thank you sir Ralph. I will." I waved to him and made my way to the nearby McDonald's that was just across the street. After I made my order on the kiosk, I paid for my order using my debit card and waited for my food to be finished.

"Order number 1929?" the female cashier called out.

"That's me." I said as I gave her the receipt.

"That would be the 2 cheeseburgers, large fries, 10 piece nuggets, and a vanilla milkshake?"

"Yes ma'am." I nodded.

"Here you go." she said as she gave it to me.

"Thank you." I said as I gave her a tip. "Have a good day." I smiled as I waved while walking out the door.

"You too." she waved back.

As I was crossing the street with my food, Ralph opened the gate for me using his foot and I walked back into the movie lot to find a place to eat at. "It's such a beautiful day outside today. And it would be a shame to waste this wonderful sunshine." I said to myself and started walking further down the movie lot. Eventually, I found a bench that had a small patch of grass and a big tree. It was almost near the giant movie sets and the water towers where the Warners live at.

I sat down on the bench and started eating my French fries. "Mmm, tastes good." I licked the salt off my lips.

"Is this seat taken?" a familiar voice asked me.

I looked up to that there was no one. But when I looked down, I saw the familiar puppy child Wakko. I smiled and patted a spot next to him. "Nope." I answered back.

"Thank you." he said as he jumped onto the bench seat and took out his lunchbox. "Come to daddy!" he said as he took out a very large sandwich out of his small lunchbox.

"Holy baloney!" I said as I saw the huge sandwich.

"Oh yeah. It's got baloney." he chuckled and ate that huge sandwich in one bite. Just then, he burped pretty loudly which made me cover my ears. After a few seconds, he finished and sighed out.

I looked at the damage he caused the big movie set buildings to fall down like dominoes. "Mother of Neptune." I covered my mouth.

"Oh. Excuse me." he blushed a bit of red.

All I did was laugh and clapped my paws. "That was really funny!"

"R-Really? You liked it?"

"That's comedy gold there." I smiled.

"Thanks. I've got a lot more where those came from." he winked at me as I took out another huge sandwich.

I blushed a little. "Wanna eat lunch together?"

"Okay." he smiled and this time he took it one bite at a time.

I smiled and started eating my lunch too. After I was finished, I got up and looked back at Wakko. "I better get back to work."

"Aww really?"

"I'm afraid so." I pat his head.

"Maybe I should walk you there?"

"Really? Walk me back to the office?"

"Umm yes." he bashfully smiled.

"Okay. Let's go." I smiled as I threw my trash away and sanitized my hands.

"Umm, can I hold your hand?" he asked me.

"Okay." I smiled and held his hand.

He smiled. "Let's get going." he started walking me to the office.

I smiled as I walked back with him, thinking that I was really having a great day.
