~Aqua's POV~

As I watched Yakko crying into Rachel, my ears went down to see him like this. And to think that he almost lost Wakko in the past was even more upsetting. That illness that Wakko's going through made my stomach churn in discomfort. I held it in place as I held Wakko's hand. A lot was going through my mind thinking that I didn't do my job right after all. But I was trying my best to shake off those bad second thoughts that were in my mind. I shook my head and started thinking about what I should do next to help the boys.

"Hey sis, try giving Wakko the soup." Rachel said.

"Okay." I said as I got the bowl of soup that she gave me. I held out a generous amount of soup onto the spoon. "Wakko, time to eat this. Say ahh."

"Mmm..." Wakko turned away.

"Please Wakko. You need to eat this. It'll help you feel better." I pleaded him.

"Try this." Rachel said as she gave me a feeding syringe.

"Thanks sis." I said as I took the syringe and filled it up with the soup. "Come on baby, please eat this." I said as I put it in his mouth.

"Mmm..." Wakko started feeding off of the syringe.

"T-That's it. There we go." I smiled lightly.

"Hmm..." I saw Wakko wag his tail lightly and wrapped my tail around his tail.

"That's a good boy. Keep drinking the yummy broth." I said softly as I rubbed the side of his cheek. "You're a good boy Wakko. My Good Boii."

As he finished eating the soup, he fell asleep soundly. I covered him up and rubbed the top of his forehead. "He's still a bit feverish."

"It'll go down soon." Rachel said as she was still holding Yakko in his arms, and he was still crying.

"Poor Yakko. He's really worried about him like I am."

"Yeah..." Rachel kept hugging him.

I started thinking and looking around for something that might cheer him up. Just then, I saw a music box that Rachel gave me for my birthday. I smiled and took the music box out of the place it came from and brought it next to him. "Yakko, can you do something for me?" I asked him softly.

He sniffled and looked at me. "What is that?"

"You'll see. Can you open it for me please?" I gave him a soft smile.

"Umm, okay." he said as he picked up the music box and opened it. His ears moved a bit as the music started playing from the box. "Whoa. What's this?"

"It's a music box. This is a song that Rachel sings to me. Right sis?"

"Wow. I can't believe you've kept it after all these years since we first met." she smiled. "Do you remember the song?"

"Yes." I smiled. "Enjoy this song big brother Yakko." I pat his head and made my way back to Wakko's side, holding his hand.

(Yakko: If you guys know this song, feel free to sing along. 😉)

🎵🎶 Dancing Bears, Painted Wings, Things I almost remember. And a song someone sings, Once upon a December. Someone holds me safe and warm. Horses prance through a silver storm. Figures dancing gracefully across my memory.🎶🎵

As there was a break in the music box, I saw Yakko slow dancing with Rachel in his arms. I giggled as I saw the 2 lovers dance. I've noticed that Yakko had changed into a tuxedo out of nowhere and Rachel was wearing a red dress. Then I looked down at my love who was smiling in his sleep while he was still holding my hand. I held his hand back and started imagining myself dancing with Wakko. Then I started singing again.

🎵🎶Someone holds me safe and warm. Horses prance through a silver storm. Figures dancing gracefully across my memory.
Far away, Long ago, Glowing dim as an ember, Things my heart, Used to know, Things it yearns to remember. And a song someone sings...🎶🎵

I smiled and pecked Wakko's lips softly as I sung the last lyrics of the song. "Mwah."

🎵🎶Once upon a December🎶🎵

"Wow." Yakko said as he hugged Rachel more. "That actually made me feel better."

I giggled. "I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Looks like you've really enjoyed it."

"How so?"

"You've changed into your tux."

"Huh, I did." he chuckled as he looked down. "And do I look good~"

"And sis, you're wearing a fancy dress."

"I am?" she asked as she looked down. "I am." she blushed. "I don't know how you can do that babe."

"Well, that's the perks of being a cartoon my love." he said as he leans in to kiss her lips.

I laughed and looked down at Wakko who was smiling in his sleep. "My sweet Wakko." I said as I laid my forehead on top of his forehead. "You'll feel better in no time. I just know it."

"Aqua, thanks for singing that song to me."

"Yes. Thank you sis." Rachel smiled.

"That was a beautiful song and you've got a really good singing voice."

"Aww Yakko, you're making me blush." I giggled as I was really blushing to all of his compliments about me.

"I'm serious. I'm really glad that Wakko fell in love with a doctor. He deserve you just as you deserve him."

"Yakko... that means a lot to me. And I'm glad that I can help you feel better."

"You're truly a miracle doctor."

"Oh god..." I giggled in happiness and embarrassment that Yakko said all of those nice things to me that helped me feel better too.

"Okay lover boy. Let's leave these 2 some alone time." Rachel said.

"Okay babe." Yakko said. "Thanks for helping. You're a real life saver Doctor."

"Thanks Yakko. Now I suggest you get some rest too. Doctor's orders."

"Yes Doctor." he nodded and headed out of my room with Rachel behind him.

"Good night sis. Sleep well." Rachel said as she blew a kiss at me.

I caught and placed it on my cheek. "Good night sis. Good night Yakko." I waved lightly at them and sighed softly, looking down at Wakko. "Alright Wakko, it's time for bed."

I got up from the bed and went to my dresser to take out my satin nightgown. I took off my clothes and threw the nightgown on me. I turned off the main light and went to the stand to turn on my night lamp. I closed the music box and placed it next to lamp. I curled up next to Wakko and closed my eyes. As I was falling asleep, I felt a pair of arms wrapping theirselves around my body.

"Hmm?" I looked back to see that it was Wakko doing that.

I smiled back at him and turned myself to him, holding him close to me. I laid his head down on my chest and kept it there. Wakko nestled into me and hums as he was hearing my heartbeat. I was glad that I was there for Wakko just like he was there for me.
