(A few minutes later...)

I got out of the shower and got dressed behind the curtain that Dot did for me. As I put on the dress that Rachel gave me, I looked at the mirror. "Wow. It's pretty." I smiled to myself and put on the pendant the kids gave me and the matching shoes and purse that were also in the bag.

I brushed my hair to put it in a bun and came out of the bathroom to see the kids getting Wakko ready. "S-So... what do you think?"

Dot turned around and squealed. "Oh my god you look beautiful! Boys don't look, especially you Wakko."

"Okay." they both looked away.

"I should do your make up!"

"But I don't need make up Dot. The usual blue eyeshadow and cat eye I have is permanent makeup."

"Ohh, but you should put on some shiny lipgloss!" she said as she took some out from her little purse.

"Well, okay. Lipgloss wouldn't hurt."

"Okay." she smiled as she glides the lipgloss over my plump lips. "There we go. Ooh your lips look so shiny~!" she got excited.

"Thanks Dot." I smiled and licked my lips a bit. "Mmm, watermelon flavored. My favorite."

"You should leave your hair out too." she said as she took off the rubber band from my bun and brushed my long hair. "It's so soft. What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use?"

"Rosewater from the Pantene company."

"Ahh. That's neat." she said as she brushed my hair down to my tips. "There we go. Beautiful."

I giggled. "I look beautiful?"

"Yes. And finally..." she said as she got a pink flower accessory to put on the side of my hair. "Now you look more beautiful. Pretty as a princess."

I giggled. "Thanks Dot."

"Introducing Mister Wakko Warner!" Yakko announced.

I looked down to see Wakko wearing the same thing he was always wearing everyday, but with a picnic basket my his side. "Umm..." I tilted my head.

"What's wrong? Is it the hair?" Yakko asked.

"Is the picnic basket his outfit?"

"That all I had Aqua." Wakko blushed a bit.

"Maybe you should've used the money to buy yourself more clothes. I see you in that hat and sweater everyday."

"I can't take these off. It... It belonged to my father." he looked down.

"Oh Wakko, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it like that." I apologized.

"No, no. It's okay. It's not your fault. Whenever I wear these things, it brings me much closer to him."

"It's okay Wakko. I'm not gonna make you change. You should stay like that just the way you are. Besides, you look cute in your dad's clothes."

"Thanks Aqua." he smiled. "So are you ready to go to the beach?"

"Yes I am." I wagged my tail.

"Then let's get going." he said as he took my hand. "Bye guys."

"Bye Wakko. Have fun!" Dot waved.

"Bring her back home safely and be home by midnight." Yakko said.

"I will." he said as he took me outside and down the escalator again.

(A few minutes later...)

When we arrived at the beach I was amazed at how beautiful it was at night time. "Wow."

"I know right?" he chuckled. "We can go to the dock right there."

"Okay." I said as I took off my shoes and started walking on the cool sand. As we walked to the stairs leading to the dock, the lights of the city were reflecting on the water. "This is just amazing here Wakko."

"This is one of my favorite spots here in Burbank. This is Long Beach."

"Why is it called Long Beach?"

"I don't know. Maybe the beach is so long."

I laughed. "Silly puppy."

He laughed as well and we went onto the wooden dock. When we made it to the end, there was a rock at the tide's edge. "Ooh, a rock. That's a nice place for me to sit at."

"It doesn't look safe down there though." he looked down.

"Well with my legs, it's not. But with my tail, it's safe."

"Oh! Okay." he sat on the ledge. "Sandwich?"

"Okay." I smiled and sat next to him, taking the sandwich and eating it. "Mmm, peanut butter and jelly. My favorite." I licked my lips.

"That's good. This is one of my many favorite sandwiches." I brought lots of my favorites. I got egg salad, tuna fish, BLT, and grilled cheese."

"My god that's a lot of yummy sandwiches. The grilled cheese and the BLT are my favorites as well, but minus the tomatoes."

"I don't really like tomatoes either. But they're not in that sandwich." he said as he took out 2 glass bottles of cola.

"Thanks Wakko." I smiled and ate with him.

(A while later...)

I sighed happily as we finished eating the picnic together. "That was really good."

"Yeah. Oh wait, cover your ears."

"Okay." I said as I covered my ears.

"Here it comes." he said as he started to release a really big burp. "Oof. Excuse me." he laughed.

I laughed as well and clapped my paws. "Nice one." I wagged my tail.

He laid his head on my lap and looked up at me. "Did you know..."

"What?" I looked down at him.

"Did you know that you look so beautiful in the night time?"

"Really?" I blushed lightly.

"Absolutely. You have the eyes of the ocean that's upon us. And your hair looks like saltwater taffy. Your fur is so soft and it looks like snow too. Not to mention your lap and hugs are very warm. It fills me up with love and joy in my heart." he told me sweetly.

"Aww Wakko, you're so sweet." I smiled and rubbed his cheek. "It makes me feel happy that you appreciate me and that you love me."

"Well, you're the best thing that ever happened to me."

"And you're the best thing that happened to me as well. And a papercut brought us together."

He chuckled. "Yeah." he said as he took off the glove to show me the finger he had the cut on. "It's still there. But it's a scar."

"Well at least there's proof knowing that we're meant to be together."

"Yeah." he said as he puts the glove back on and he sighed sweetly onto my lap.

I pet his head and looked at the calming waters down below me. 'I think it's about time that my love should see the other half of me. And I'm hoping that he likes it.' I thought to myself as I looked down at him who was resting his eyes. I whispered in his ear. "Hey Wakko?"

"Yeah Aqua?" he opened his eyes to look at me.

"Are you ready to see my mermaid self?"

"I'm ready when you are." he smiled as he got his head off of my lap.

"Okay." I said as I took a deep breath and dived off the edge of the pier. Splashing into the water while I heard Wakko gasp.
