Fishy Secrets

~Aqua's POV~

(The next day)

*September 17th*

As Rachel and I were walking to work, I was thinking hard on something that I would like to say to Wakko. "Hey sis..?"

"Hmm? Yeah sis?"

"I was thinking about telling Wakko something."

"Tell him what?"

I blushed a bit. "I was thinking if I should tell him about my secret. You know, with me as a mermaid."

"Really? You wanna tell it to him?"

"Yeah. You think he'll be happy?"

"I think he'll be happy that he has someone special that's even more special like you." she smiled.

"Thanks sis." I said as Ralph let us into the movie lot. "Good luck in the fashion department sis."

"Thanks sis. I'll see you later at lunchtime." she waved as she went into the costume warehouse.

I waved back to her and looked around to see if the Warners were around, but they were not here. So I walked to the water tower and started climbing up the ladder to the very top. As I made it to the top of the tower, I was a bit nervous about being up here. I took in a deep breath and pressed the doorbell. As I heard the door opening, Yakko was there.

"Hellooo Doctor~!" Yakko beamed.

I giggled to his usual catchphrase. "Hellooo Yakko!"

"Come on in. Watch your step."

"Thank you." I said as I watched my step and went inside of their home. I looked around to see that it was pretty empty. "Wow. It looks bigger on the inside than it is on the outside."

"I know right? Say, is Rachel here?"

"Yeah, she started working in the costume warehouse."

"That's great."

I heard some footsteps coming from the kitchen to see Wakko there with a plate of breakfast. I smiled. "Wakko!"

He gasped and smiled. "Aqua!" he ran to me and hugged my legs.

I giggled and picked him up in arms. "It's so good to see you again." I hugged him close to me.

"Me too, Faboo." he wagged his tail. "I've missed you."

"And I've missed you too. I'm sorry if our first date ended up in disaster yesterday."

"That's okay. It was so totally worth it. Look!" he said as he took out a paper from his signature cap and showed it to me.

I gasped. "You got the billion dollar check from those producers?!"

"Yep!"

"That's great! I'm so happy for you!" I said as I threw him up in the air.

"Faboo!" he cheered while Yakko and Dot smiled. "I was thinking that we could buy new toys and candy!"

"Well if you did, you would have a lot of money leftover."

"Well, we can use it for something else."

"Okay." I smiled.

"Hmm? Hey Aqua. How's your arm?" Yakko asked me. "You were in pretty bad shape last night."

"Oh yeah." I put him down and took off my doctor coat. "It healed up very nicely. See?" I said as I showed them my arm and it was all better.

"Uhh... where are the bandages?" Yakko asked.

"Ohh uhh..." I shakily started, thinking about what to say. 'Oh my god. I can't tell them my secret just yet. We just met this week.' my thoughts in my mind spoke to me nervously.

"Seems fishy to me." Dot said.

"I think you're right sis." Yakko agreed with her.

Wakko chuckled. "Fish!"

I gulped the hard feeling down my throat when Dot and Wakko said something about fish. 'They're onto me!' my thoughts kept going as I felt a few beads of sweat coming down my face.

"Hmm?" Wakko looked up at me. "Are you okay Aqua?"

"I... I... I should get going. Doctor Scratchensniff is expecting me."

"But he's not here today." Yakko said.

"He's not? Why?" I asked him.

"He has the day off. And so did Hello Nurse."

"Ohh." I giggled nervously. "I guess they didn't send me a text that I have to take over."

"He didn't even tell us anything." Dot shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh well. Guess I have to open up the office by myself then. Yakko, you have to come to me at 11:30 later today."

"Okay Doc." he said.

"Dot, you come to me at 1:30 after lunch period in the afternoon."

"I'll be there." she responded.

"And Wakko, you have me at 3:30 before closing time."

"Righto." he wagged his tail.

I sighed and patted his head. "I'll see you guys later." I said as I headed out of their home and climbed down the ladder to get to the ground. "My heart is pounding like crazy." I said to myself as I headed to the Psychiatrist Office building and opened the door.

As I went into my office to set up, I saw a note on my desk. "Hmm?" I wondered as I opened the paper and started reading the note aloud to myself.

"Dear Dr. Aquamarine Waters,

Hello Nurse and I went on a business outing so we won't be working there until the beginning of next week. So we would like for you to take over until then. We apologize for not informing you about this situation since you're just beginning at the office. We'll make it up to you with your first paycheck.

Sincerely, Dr. Scratchensniff and Hello Nurse~

P. S. Don't let the Warners drive you crazy."

I looked at the letter. "Dear Neptune. What are they doing at this time?!" I growled. "I guess Yakko was right, they're not here. And I have to take over too? This is absurd!" I sighed as I sat down at my chair.

"At least I got paid a bit early today. Nice." I giggled and put it in my pocket. "Oh well. I guess I'll have to do my very best to get through the day." I said to myself as I took out my papers, ready to write out reports from yesterday.

I took out my reading glasses and started reading out the important papers. Just then, I heard a drawer being opened by itself and then a hand placed a gift box on my lap and closed itself up. "Huh?" I tilted my head. "Uhh... okay..? I'm not gonna ask."

I was pondering that it was from Wakko and I didn't bother opening it right away. I gasped as I took out 3 cute plushies of the kids themselves. "Oh my goodness!" I giggled as I saw something tied up at the tail on Yakko's plush. I looked at the heart shaped note that had my name on it.

"Aww, those kids." I giggled to myself as I touched noses with Yakko's plushy version of himself. I was really glad that I made the right decision to move to Burbank. Really really glad to have met them.
