Mermaid Half

~Wakko's POV~

After I saw Aqua jump into the water, I waited for her to come up. But when I saw bubbles coming up, I thought that she was in trouble. But then something amazing happened. The ocean was starting to glow an eerie blue color. "Whoa..." I said to myself as I felt like it was the beautiful thing in the world.

After the glow had faded, Aqua broke through the surface taking in a breath of air. "Hey." she smiled.

"You're okay!"

"Of course I am." she smiled and climbed up the rock from earlier.

As I watched her sat on the rock, I saw her beautiful blue tail. "Holy fish sticks." I smiled and saw the glimmering effect that was on her tail.

"Do you like it?"

"I don't like it. I love it!" I wagged my tail.

"Thanks Wakko. I'm glad that you like it. So, do you have any questions about my mermaid half?"

"Many many questions." I said as I sat down.

"Okay. What would you like to know?"

"Well I was wondering if you can speak to fish?"

"Yes. I can speak many languages of fish, dolphin, whale, shark, and many other marine life species."

"That's awesome!"

She giggled. "You want me to try it?"

"Okay, try a dolphin."

"One dolphin coming up." she winked at me and started sounding out dolphin noises.

'She's amazing~' I thought to myself as I saw a dolphin coming up. "Oh wow!"

Aqua spoke in dolphin language and the dolphin was slapping its flippers. "Thank you." she said to the dolphin.

"What did he say?"

"He asked if you would like to ride on his back." she smiled.

"Really? Tell him yes!" I jumped up and down in excitement.

"Okay." she nodded and spoke to him. "He said yes." she said as she was rubbing his head. "Come on."

"Okay." I nodded.

She picked me up and placed me on the dolphin near his fin. I held onto the fin and felt him start swimming. "Whoa."

"Let's go." she smiled and started swimming.

"Whoa!" I laughed a bit as he was swimming with Aqua. "This is amazing!"

She laughed. "Let's do a jump." she said as she dove under and leaped out of the water up high.

"Wow!" I clapped my hands.

"Now you try it." she said as she spoke to the dolphin. "He says hold on tight."

"Okay." I said as I held on tight and he started leaping out of the water. Aqua soon joined us, including some other dolphins too. "Wow!" I laughed. "Whoo!"

"Yahoo!" Aqua laughed as she was frolicking with the other dolphins.

I was having a great time swimming with the dolphins until I lost my grip of the dolphin's fin and fell in. "Whoa!" I came back up to take in some air and laughed a bit.

Aqua laughed and swam up to me. "Are you okay love?"

"Love?"

"Yeah. I can call you love, right?" she asked me.

"I don't mind." I smiled.

"Good." she giggled softly and brought me close to her body. Then she floated on her back and I was on top of her tail. "Had a good time?"

"The best time." I wagged my tail and squeezed the water out of my hat, shirt, tail, and ears. I looked over at the horizon to see that the dolphins are leaving. "Oh, bye dolphins!" I waved to them as I squeaked.

Aqua giggled. "I can tell you're having a really good time."

"Because you're in it." I smiled at her.

"Aww Wakko." she blushed lightly.

As I looked down at my beautiful mermaid, my heart was pounding like crazy out of my chest. And I mean literally out of my chest. "Umm..." I blushed red.

"What is it Wakko?"

"I wanna... I wanna..."

"You want to what?"

"I wanna kiss you." I blushed red.

"Really?" she smiled and rubbed the side of my cheek.

"Well, you look so beautiful like this in the moonlight. And I wanna do something about it."

"Well, ask me properly."

"Can I... kiss you Aqua?"

She giggled softly. "I thought you'd never ask. But let's get you back on the dock. You're a wet puppy." she said as she started treading water on her back while she held my waist.

I closed my eyes and felt the warm breeze hitting against my wet fur and clothes. The smell of sea breeze was calming and the sound of trickling waves cleared my mind. "This is nice. Just the 2 of us." I looked down at her.

"It is." she said as she stopped at the dock and helped me out of the water.

She sat at the rock while I shook the water off of me. "That was a great time."

"I'll say."

"I have something to give you."

"What is it?"

"You'll see." I said as I went into the picnic basket and took out a bouquet of roses. "Tada." I showed her.

"Aww Wakko. They're beautiful."

"Just like you." I said as I sat on the edge of the dock.

"Wakko..." she batted her eyelashes at me and got closer to me.

"Aqua..." I was blushing tomato red and closed my eyes as I got closer to her. I could feel the warm sensation on my lips and knew that she kissed me, and I was kissing her back. 'Oh my god! This is my first kiss~!' my thoughts ran around my mind.

As I pulled away from her, I opened my eyes to see her smiling. "W-Wow." she blushed.

"Double wow." I said as I touched my lips. "That was my first kiss."

She giggled. "I'm glad that I can help you get your first kiss." she said as she rubbed my ears.

I wagged my tail. "What a great night."

"It was." she moved her mermaid tail.

"I better bring you home. It's almost bedtime for me."

"I wish we could stay like this. Just the two of us only again."

"Me too Aqua. Me too."

"Alright. We should go." she said as she pulled herself out of the water and I helped her out. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." I said as I took out my gaggy baggy and took out a towel. "Here."

"Thanks Wakko." she said as she used the towel to dry her tail up and I witnessed her legs coming back. "That's really cool."

"I'm glad." she smiled as she got up. "So, are you ready to go?"

"Ready when you are my love." I took a bow.

"Alright." she smiled.

I smiled and started walking home with her hand in hand. After I brought Aqua home, I went back to the water tower to take off my wet clothes and put them out to dry. I threw on my pajamas and went into bed. As fell asleep, I was dreaming about the amazing date night we had and my first kiss with her.
