~Rachel's POV~
As we went to catch up to the ice cream cart, I heard a man yelling, "Look out!"
I turned around to see that there was a cart full of fake tar was heading towards us! "Yakko look out! Move!" I yelled out and pushed Yakko out of the way. I covered my eyes as I felt the fake tar all over me.
I heard Yakko gasp. "Rachel!" he called my name.
"Oh no! The feathers!" Wakko warned me.
"Feathers? Where?" I said as I was blindly walked around. I couldn't see anything because of the fake tar.
"Look out! Move to the right!" Dot yelled.
I moved to the right, but I felt a bag hit me right in the face. "Oof!" I said as I fell on the ground flat like a starfish.
~Yakko's POV~
I gasped in horror as I saw the fake tar and feather collided with Rachel. The way the scene looked was something out of a scary movie, but it was real. "No!" I ran to the scene and saw Rachel flat on the ground all covered in feathers and fake tar.
"Uhh..." Rachel moaned.
"Rachel, Rachel, can you hear me?!" I asked her in a worried tone.
"Is she okay?!" Wakko ran to us.
"She's not hurt is she?!" Dot ran over too.
"I don't know!" I panicked and held her hand.
~Rachel's POV~
I coughed out some feathers and slowly sat up. "Uhh, what happened? It felt like I was hit by a bus."
"Thank god you're okay!" I heard Yakko say it.
"So what happened?" I shook my head.
"Well umm... you've been victimized by fake tar and feathers." Yakko spoke to me.
"I can't see anything."
"Don't worry. Let's get you cleaned up."
"Okay." I said as I slowly got up.
"I'll deal with you 2 later." Yakko said sternly as I felt him holding my hand. Then I felt myself walking slowly. "Take it one step at a time, take it slow." he coaxed me.
"Okay." I said as I was taking it one step at a time. "Where are we going?"
"I'm gonna take you to the water tower so you can get cleaned up."
"Okay."
~Yakko's POV~
(A few seconds later...)
After I helped her get to the top of the water tower and inside of it, I went to the bathtub to open the hot water. "Okay Rachel. The bath is on. I'll give you some privacy so you can get cleaned up."
"Okay." she said as she felt her way to the bathtub.
I went to the couch in the living room feeling really really guilty about that accident. As I was waiting for her to finish, I've realized that there was no clothes for her to wear! I covered my mouth realizing it. I got up from the couch and zoomed out of the water tower, jumping down, and zoomed to the costume warehouse. As I looked at all of the costumes one by one, my eyes laid on a purple and yellow dress. As I looked at it, I thought that Rachel would like it.
"I think this'll look nice." I said to myself as I also left with a pair of purple flats. I zoomed back to the water tower and tip toed carefully to put the outfit on the toilet and slipped away.
(A few minutes later...)
As I was still thinking about what to say to Rachel, I heard the footsteps approaching me. I looked to the side to see her there with the dress and shoes I picked out for her. But I blushed red seeing how the outfit looks because it showed half of her belly that was in plain sight.
"Umm..." Rachel started.
"H-Hey." I nervously waved to her. "Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah. I'm okay now. That fake tar and feathers was hard to remove on my fur."
"I know how you feel."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I had that same stuff stuck on me for the whole day. Everyone thought I was Chicken Boo."
She giggled and sat next to me. "So what happened while I was out?"
"Wakko and Dot was doing their usual shenanigans until you pushed me out of the way. You took the fall for me."
"Oh yeah. I did." she held my hand which made me blush. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm okay. But I should be asking you the same question. Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm okay. It wasn't too bad, I've been through worst."
"Okay. That's good. So you don't need a doctor?"
"Nah. I'll live." she giggled. "So where did you get this outfit from? It's so pretty."
"I uhh... I had to take that from the costume warehouse and bring that to you since I have no clothes suitable for girls like you here. Or Wakko. Or Dot." I said in embarrassment.
"That's okay. I like this dress. And it was also a lucky thing that I had spare underwear in my purse."
I blushed after she said underwear. "T-That's good. I'm really really sorry that this happened to you today on your first day here."
"It's okay Yakko. I forgive you." she revealed a a warm smile and petter my head.
"R-Really?"
"Of course. I know that doing weird stuff with your brother and sister is in your blood. And there's nothing stopping you. That's what make you kids unique, one of a kind."
I smiled knowing that she forgave me. "Thanks Rachel. And again, I'm sorry that it happened to you."
"Like I said. I've been through worst."
"Like what?"
"I was abducted by aliens."
"Whoa really?!"
"Yeah. Maybe one day I'll tell you."
"Same here. I was abducted by aliens and now they're my new special extraterrestrial friends."
"Neat. So, you wanna try going to the ice cream cart again?"
"Yeah. But I don't have any money to buy us any." I said as I looked into my pockets to see that all I had was a penny, a paper clip, and some tissue paper boats.
"It's okay. I've got this."
"Are you sure?"
"Mmm hmm."
"Okay let's go!" I wagged my tail and went out of the water tower with her.
"Hold up. Do you mind me holding you?"
"Umm what are you gonna do?" I asked her as I looked up at her.
"You'll see." she giggled and picked me up, having a snug hold of me. "Hold on." she said as I looked up to see her wings being unfurled and then she jumped off the edge of the tower.
"Whoa!" I closed my eyes and held on tight, thinking it was the end of me.
