~Aqua's POV~

(2 weeks later...)

*November 22nd*

I was wrapping up another medical case until I heard a knock at my office door. "Come in."

The door opened and Doctor Scratchensniff came in. "You have some visitors here."

"Alright, send them in." I said as I looked ahead.

"You may come in." Scratchensniff said as they both walked in.

I gasped to see who it really was. "Oh my god!" I covered my mouth.

"Hey mom!" both of them said.

"Dreamer! Bartolommeo!" I wagged my tail in excitement.

"They look somewhat familiar Aqua, do you know them?" Scratchensniff asked me.

"Those are my kids!" I went over to them and hugged them both. "My goodness, this is a wonderful surprise!" I kissed their cheeks. "What brings you both here in California?"

"We wanted to visit you and our aunt!" Dreamer said.

"And we brought you goodies too." Bart smiled.

"Well isn't that nice of you guys to come here from New York."

"Wait a minute, these kids of yours traveled from New York City to over here?!" Scratchensniff said. "But how did they get here?!"

"Hmm, he's right. How did you both get here?"

"We used the Shell Raiser." Bart said.

"The what?! And you drove it?!"

"Well... grandma and grandpa taught us how to drive." Bart chuckled. "But Dreamer parked it."

"Wow. I've missed out on so much haven't I?"

"You think?" Dreamer said.

"I'll let you talk to your kin." Scratchensniff said.

"Thanks boss. And I've sent you the report on Shirley McClain."

"Thank you." he said as he closed my office door.

I sighed a bit. "Kids, I'm really sorry that I wasn't there for you since... since your dad passed. I felt truly responsible for the bomb that caused him to die. And I didn't even get a chance to forgive him or say goodbye to him." I sniffled.

"It's okay mom. It's okay." Dreamer hugged me.

"It wasn't your fault mom. It was the Kraang that took him and our uncles away. But they won't hurt us anymore." Bart hugged me as well.

"Thank you. Thank you both for coming here." I wiped my tears. "I was just trying my best to be a better mother at the time. But it just wasn't working out for me. It was hard enough for me to be a single parent while you 2 were growing up."

"We know." they both nodded.

"So I took this job while grandma and grandpa took care of you. So I can send you money for food and other things that you may want or need. I heard that Bishop passed the mutant law over there. And I was relieved that he did."

"Is he that man that's an alien?" Bart asked.

"Yeah." I smiled softly as I saw my children looking up to me. "I'm glad you both came here to surprise me."

"We missed you mom." Dreamer hugged me. "Hmm?"

"What's wrong love?"

"I smell someone on you."
