Warm Moments

~Wakko's POV~

As I walked Aqua down to the office building stairs, I looked up at her. "I really enjoyed the lunch with you."

"Really?" she smiled.

"Yeah." I blushed and scratched the back of my neck. "I umm... I was thinking if... umm... if you would eat lunch with me again?"

"Eat lunch with you? Like today?"

"Yeah. I mean if you want."

She giggled. "Okay Wakko. I'll eat lunch with you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Today was such a good day with you my friend."

"Faboo!" I wagged my tail, it was a new feeling to me. "I had a good day with you too doctor."

"I should get going."

"Wait!" I started. "Umm, can I have a hug?"

"Aww okay." she smiled "You wouldn't mind?"

"Not at all." I said. "And don't worry about bending down. I got a better idea." I said as I jumped up.

"Whoa." she exclaimed and caught me which made her giggle. "That's a surprising way to hug me."

I chuckled and hugged her, wrapping my arms around her neck while I felt her hugging my whole body. Her touch was warm and her scent was intoxicating. "This is nice." I said as I closed my eyes to enjoy the embrace.

"Yeah. This is nice." she said as I saw her wagging her tail slowly.

As much as I wanted to hug her more, I knew she had to go back to work. So I pulled back, wishing I never did. But it was the right thing to do. "Thanks for the hug."

"No problem." she sets me back down. "I'll see you later."

"See ya Doctor." I said as I skipped away. "Wow, she's amazing." I said to myself as I looked back at her going into the building.

"Ooh~!" I heard Yakko and Dot said.

"Uhh..." I blushed. "It's not what it looks like!"

"Now I definitely know you're in total love with Aqua." Dot smiled. "You should ask her out?"

"What now?! No!" I shouted.

"Hey hey take it easy bro." Yakko assured me.

"I don't wanna ask her out now. She'll think I'm a freak if I say it now."

"I don't think so. You ate a huge sandwich which made you burp and she thought it was funny." Dot said.

"Hmm you're right. I did make her laugh." I smiled a bit.

"And that yellow rose you gave her was a sign of our friendship with her?" Yakko asked.

"Yeah. I guess she's our brand new special friend?"

"Yeah. I would like to meet her."

"She sounds like a nice girl." Dot said.

"Oh yeah. She's really nice." I played with my tail.

"I've never seen the day that you're always smiling around her." Yakko gave me a pat on the shoulder. "Now then, should we start having our antics?"

"Yeah. Let's go!" I smiled and took out my trusty mallet. I started running around the movie lot with my siblings, knowing that I was having the time of my life.

~Aqua's POV~

(Hours later...)

As I was finishing up my next and last report of the day, I heard Dr. Scratchensniff coming into the office. "Hello doctor." I greeted him.

"Hello Aqua. You have a phone call."

"I do? Since when do I get phone calls?"

"Just now." he smiled. "I think you'll be very happy. When you're finished, you can go home for the night."

"Okay." I said as I got up and went to the main office. I pressed the hold button and spoke into the phone. "Hello?"

"Hello my child." a sweet voice said.

"Oh mom! Hey!" I giggled as I wagged my tail.

"How's Hollywood treating you my dear?"

"Hollywood is a whole new world for me. It's beautiful here."

"That's good. Listen, I have something packed for you and it's on the way to your new job."

"Ooh, is it a care package?"

"Well... yes. And I know that you're going to love it."

"I hope it's those homemade chocolate chip marshmallow cruncher cookies that you always make."

I heard her laugh. "It'll be there tomorrow my dear."

"I can't wait." I wagged my tail. "I should get going mom. I have to close up for today. I'll call you later before bedtime."

"Okay my dear."

"Thanks for the call mom. Give dad and the kids some hugs and kisses for me."

"I will. Bye."

"Bye mom." I said as I hung up the phone. I went back to the office and I was smiling thanks to my mom's cheery voice. I packed up my purse and turned off the lights, locking my office door and heading out the door. I locked up the building and headed down the stairs. As I made it to the bottom, Wakko was there.

"Hey Aqua." he wagged his tail.

"Hey Wakko."

"Going home for the night?"

"Yeah."

"I wish I could walk you home. But my brother would want me home by 5 minutes."

"You know now that I think about it, you're usually with both of your siblings."

"They're back at the tower. I only wanted to see you off."

"That's really sweet of you Wakko. And I appreciate it. You've made my first day of the job successful."

"I'm glad that I could help." he bowed before me.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I said as I leaned towards the side of his face and gave him a kiss on his fuzzy cheek. "Mwah."

"Faboo~!" he blushed and started laughing uncontrollably.

I giggled. "Bye Wakko." I said as I started to make my way home.

"Bye Aqwee! I mean Aquiline! I mean Aqua! Aqua, okay. Bye Aqua!" he waved.

I smiled and looked back at him waving goodbye to me. I waved back at him and went through the gate. As I walked down the long block, I made it to my new home and went inside. After I closed the door, I took off my flats and uniform jacket as I trudged up the stairs. When I made it to my bedroom, I took off my dress and threw it in the hamper. I went to my drawer and brought out a blue long sleeved nightgown and tucked myself into bed.

I yawned and stretched as I laid down and turned to my side. As I looked at the moon rising into the sky, I saw an image of Wakko there on the moon. "Huh?" I said to myself as I was rubbing my eyes to see the moon again. But nothing was there. "Oh boy, this is gonna be a zany life." I said to myself as I closed my eyes and fell fast asleep.
