"Hi Mrs. Lockwood" I greet when Carol Lockwood opens the door. 

"Ariel dear welcome. Are you here to see Tyler?" Carol asks as she lets me in. "Yes, is he in his room?"

"Yes"

"Thank you"

I head up the stairs and repeat the plan in my head. The story is that I found Jonathan Gilbert's journal and read an entry about the Lockwood's. If he asks, say I can't show it to him is because Jenna is using them for the historical society thingy. 

"Hey Tyler" I greet, knocking on the frame of his door as I enter. He's dressed in running clothes with a duffel bag on his shoulder. 

"Ariel, what are you-uh. What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to help"

He frowns "Help with what?"

"Your werewolf curse"

"What are you talking about?"

"Remember how I told you that I'm apparently a Gilbert? I read through some of the family journals and found a pretty interesting entry about werewolves. I made the connection. Plus I know about Caroline"

His eyes widen for a second in pure shock, he strides across the room and closes his door before turning to loom over me.

"You know about Caroline?"

I nod "Yes, I know Caroline's a vampire Tyler"

"How do you know that?"

"She's my best friend Tyler, I found out about her sometime after she first turned"

He keeps looking at me in shock, "So then what are you doing here?"

"You're like my brother and I just want to help, and you can't stop me"

He sighed and rubbed his temple "Even if it's dangerous?" He questioned.

I smirked lightly and crossed my arms "I'm not going anywhere"

Tyler tried several more times to stop me but I wouldn't budge, so I'm coming with. We head downstairs about to leave when Carol joins us.

"Heading out?"

Tyler nods, trying to play off his lie "Yeah...lunch at the Grill, I've got practice and I'll probably go out after. I'll be late."

Someone rings the doorbell and me being the person closest to the door opened it. "Hi." Greets the woman at the door. She's tall, blue eyes, cheekbones and blond hair. "Hi." Tyler and I greet with confusion in our voices.

"Sorry. Rude" The girl says with a chuckle when she realizes the situation. "You have no idea who I am. I'm Jules, a friend of Mason's from Florida" 

Friend of Masons?

Her eyes darted over to Tyler with this look like if she knew something about him that I did not like "You must be Tyler."

Tyler nods and shakes her hand in greeting "Yeah. Nice to meet you."

"So, I know it's weird for me to just stop by but I'm trying to track down Mason." Jules explains.

Carol frowns "Mason's back in Florida. He has been for a while now."

"See...that's the thing...he's not."

No he is not. He's decomposing in his car.

"Hey." Tyler and I greet Caroline at the grill. She notices the looks on our faces and frowns, "Hey. What's wrong?"

Tyler leans over the table as he explains "This girl Mason knows stopped by the house. She said he never made it back to Florida. My mom is freaking out and she was on the phone with your mom when I left."

Caroline glances at me and I simply nod "We should get going." Caroline nods "Yeah."

"You guys go I'll meet you in a sec"

They nod and walk out, I rush to Alaric sitting at one of the tables who was eavesdropping on us.

"What was that about?" He questioned. "Some blonde chick, she's a friend of masons, and by the look she gave Tyler possibly a werewolf. She's tall, blonde, blue eyes and cheekbones, call me when you know more"

We took my car seeing as it was bigger then Caroline and drove down to the woods, the old Lockwood cellar, where Tyler was going to have his first transformation. 

Tyler was still a little pissed that I didn't tell him sooner but I reminded him he never let me get a word out. He's also mad that Caroline didn't tell him that I knew. And Caroline had to go along with whatever I said because I didn't exactly fill her in.

Tyler got out of the car and Caroline and I stayed inside as I pressed the button that opened the trunk, I'm really glad I cleaned out the trunk, or else he would have seen a bunch of weapons. 

"Maybe he just stopped to go surf somewhere. Isn't that Mason's whole thing?" Caroline lied, trying to make sense of Mason's disappearance for Tyler. We can't exactly just tell Tyler that his uncle is decomposing in his truck god knows where.

"Maybe. This girl just seemed to think he would have called"

I force a smile on my face as I get out of the car and join him. "I'm sure he's okay."

"Yeah, anyway...let's do this"
