Kill or be Killed - 2

"Please tell me that you were just bonding." Stefan asks as we approach. Damon ignores his questions with a question. "So what's up this faux drama in your relationship?" Damon asks.

"What are you talking about?" Stefan asks in denial. "Oh come on, Stefan. You and Elena don't fight, especially not over me." So that's what they were fighting about?

"Drop it, Damon." Stefan demands. "With pleasure." I cross my arms at Damon. "I thought you went to go get us drinks?" I ask quirking an eyebrow. "I am," Damon says, turning to get two cups of Lemonade from a little girl.

"Thank you, sweetie." Damon tells her before handing my cup to me. I sigh and bring the cups to my lips, immediately tasting something wrong. Vervain. "Damon No!" I exclaim but it's too late and Damon has already drunk the vervain.

Damon drinks the lemonade and spits it out and starts coughing.

"What's wrong?"

Damon responds with gasps as I go to grab a water bottle so he can drown out the vervain.

 "Vervain! Vervain!" He replies with gasps.

Damon grabs the bottle of water, rinses his mouth out with it, and spits it out. He's very angry.

"I'm gonna kill him." He mutters.

"Listen to me! Sit! Sit!" Stefan yells at him as he grabs him by the shoulder and forces him to sit down. "I'm not listening anymore to your "give peace a chance" crap. He's dead!" Damon threatens.

Stefan sighs "Okay. I don't like it. He's making threats. He could expose us. We need to put him down." This shocks both me and Damon.

"Alright. Let's do it." Damon says. "I'm going with" Damon and Stefan snap their necks to me. "No, no way" Stefan and Damon say in sync.

 "What if he kills you?" Stefan starts. "He won't kill me Stefan. He won't kill Tyler's friend. I'm going end of story" Stefan's about to argue some more but I cut him off with a hand. "Don't" Damon grumbles and looks around.

He sees Mason going into the woods. "Woods. Trash duty. Come on."

Mason is in the woods when we arrive, throwing some branches into the trash bins.

Stefan stands to his right, Damon and I to his left. "Don't look so surprised. You knew this was inevitable. Go ahead, run. I'll give you a head start." Damon says with a deep scowl. Mason seemed surprised to see me here, and all of a sudden he bends down. 

 Suddenly shots ring out, hitting Damon and Stefan. "No!" I scream as Damon and Stefan get shot multiple times. I look up startled and grunt in pain when 4 wooden bullets find me. 

One hits me in my upper shoulder, the other one hits my collar bone, a little more closer straight through my neck. Another hits my arm and the last one hits my thigh. 

I collapse over Damon and groan in deep pain, biting my tongue to hold back my screams. Stefan and Damon are on the floor. Liz and some of her deputies arrive. "Thank you, Mason." She said to him, still training her gun at us.

That sick bastard. I watch as she injects them both with vervain, making both of them fully unconscious. "Liz..." I mutter when she injects me. She actually believes I am one, and me passing out doesn't help the matter.

I stir awake and gasp at the pain shooting from my body. I'm leaning against the wall of the cellar. I probably look worse then I feel. Liz cranes her neck at me. "Ariel" She mutters softly. I look as she still has the gun pointed to Damon and Stefan who are side by side, still unconscious. 

"Liz please" I whimper, trying to hold back tears of pain.

Damon wakes up and Liz shoots him in the leg. "No!" I let out in a choked sob.

"This is how it's gonna work. Answer me and you don't get shot, understand? How many of you are there?" Liz demands of him. 

"Liz, please." Damon lets out in a strained voice.

She shoots him again and he screams.

"How did you fool us? How do you walk in the sun?"

He doesn't answer. She shoots me in the leg, still thinking I'm a vampire. I scream in pain and let the tears out as the wooden bullet digs into my skin.

Damon turns his head to me, eyes fluttering open and close. I shake my head softly at my head and slump down. My breathing turns heavy and Damon notices.

"I will drag this out painfully." Liz threatens.

"But you're my friend." Damon says with a groan.

"Our friendship was a lie. Answer me and I'll kill you fast."

Damon doesn't answer her and looks back at her. "Can you at least help me help her?" He asks. Liz glances over to me. "She's a vampire" Damon lets out a breathy chuckle. 

"No, she's not" Liz's eyes widen and she looks over to me, this time in shock and fear. "But-but...the vervain" She says, stumbling over her words. 

"You shot her 5 times Liz. Of course she's gonna pass out" Liz shakes her head at him. "No, you can't heal her. Your lying" She looks over to her deputies.

 "They won't tell us anything. Kill them both" No, no, no. I groan quietly and try with what little strength I have and crawl over to Damon, to maybe try to give him some of my blood. 

Help him gain some strength. I can't exactly give Stefan my blood, we all know what happened the last time he tried human blood. Liz notes my moments and points with her gun, she motions to her deputies and one of them comes over, if I had the strength I would kick but I can't so I let him drag me over to Damon's side, dropping me hard on the floor next to him.

"Let's do this. Each with a stake in the heart, then burn them both." Liz orders them.

We then heard a metallic creaking sound. Liz looks at one of her deputies.

"Check it out." The deputy goes to check it out and is knocked down by Elena who hits him with a plank and then goes into the main cell. Liz sees her and points her gun at her.

"Elena! What are you doing?" Liz asks in shock.

"You can't kill them. I'm not gonna let you." Elena says.

From behind, the deputy comes up and quickly pushes her forward and readies his gun.

My vision is getting blurry so I can't really see but I can hear the metallic door close shut.

"What was that?" The deputy asks. "Who else is with you?"

Caroline circles around at vamp speed, closes on one of the deputies and bites his neck. The other deputy fires at her, but only shoots the first deputy.

 When he stops shooting, Caroline rushes from behind and knocks him to the ground. Caroline then reveals herself with her vampire face to her mom. "Hi mom"
