Elena and I spent the entire night locked up in her room avoiding John. But since he's back we have to face him, unfortunately.
John is in the kitchen, watching the news channel on TV.
Elena and I enter the kitchen which makes John switch off the TV.
"Morning." John says to us both.
"What are you doing here?" Elena asks him, crossing her arms. "Coffee?" John offers.
I shake my head. "We're not doing that. We did that last night. No more avoiding. Why are you here?" I repeat forcefully.
"I'm here to protect you both. That's all I can say for the moment."
Elena frowns. "What do you mean that's all you can say?" She questions.
John sighs. "I'll tell you more when I'm convinced I can trust you." John replies.
Jenna and Alaric enter the room with a rush; they don't even register John standing there.
"Oh God, I'm late." Jenna exclaims, slipping on her shoes.
Alaric chuckles. "That's what you get when you hit the snooze three times"
Jenna looks up and finally sees John and her eyes widen in shock.
"What the hell?" John smiles. " Good morning to you, Jenna. Alaric..."
Jenna raises an eyebrow. "It's okay I'm confused, right? Because we were not expecting you, like, ever."
John straightens up and starts explaining " Well, I got in late last night. Elena let me in."
Alaric shuffles uncomfortably. "You know, I'm uh, probably just gonna take off."
He looks at Elena and me and leaves.
Jenna frowns. " I'm still confused here."
John continues his explanation "I decided to come back and stay for a while."
Jenna fakes a smile. "Not here you're not."
John glances at us. "Actually, you can't stop me from living here."
"Actually I can, as a legal guardian." Jenna tells him.
John chuckles. "Yeah, about that...um, girls, you want me to explain the situation, or would you like to do the honors?"
Jenna frowns and looks at us. "Okay, what's going on?" She asks.
Elena rakes a hand through her ponytail. " I'm sorry, Jenna. We should have told you earlier, but--"
John interrupts. "I'm Elena and Ariel's biological father. There, now you know."
He walks away, leaving Elena and me alone to deal with a confused Jenna.
"What?!"
In the middle of explaining things to a very very distraught and confused Jenna, I got a 911 text from Caroline. When I got to her house, Stefan was already there ringing the doorbell. "Why are you here?" I ask.
"Why are you?"
The door opens and we both step inside "What's wrong?" I ask Caroline.
"Tyler knows about you and Damon" She directs to Stefan. " He knows that Damon killed Mason. I didn't say a word." Stefan and I exchange glances
"It's that woman, Jules. She had a run-in with Damon."
"Tyler was so upset. The look on his face, he was so betrayed."
I scratch the back of my head in shock as I process this "Wow, this is bad."
"You're not gonna tell Damon, are you?"
Stefan shakes his head "No! He already wants to kill him. He thinks all werewolves should die, and he's not wrong to think that, Caroline. I mean, what if Tyler tries to retaliate? He has every right to. He could get himself killed."
"Well, we're not gonna let that happen. We have to get to him and reason with him before he does something stupid. You have to talk to him. Just try to explain, you know?" I say with a pleading look on my face.
Caroline nodded "You always know the right things to say, okay? He and I...we're friends."
