"Tell me you brought the instruction manual." I mutter as I wrap my arms around myself as I look around the cellar. It was dark, damp and creepy.

"Tell me you brought the wolfsbane." Caroline perks her head up and nods, reaching into her bag "Yes. Not an easy herb to find" She pulls out a small piece of it, it looks an awful lot like vervain just more like wheat.

 "This is it."

It doesn't burn Caroline seeing as it's more harmful to werewolves. So when Tyler reaches out to touch it, and burns himself in the process it makes me flinch just a little.

When Caroline first turned, I guess I was more used to it seeing as Stefan's my best friend and so is Damon.  But I'm not used to werewolves and seeing Tyler burn himself is something I am not used to. Guess there's no time like the present to learn.

"I have a water bottle in my bag, we can mix it in there." I nod and take the wolfsbane from Caroline and start to pluck the leaves into little pieces.

Caroline helps Tyler set up the chains to the bolts on the walls while I drop the wolfsbane in the water bottle.

"The guy at the hardware store said this set-up could hold up to 5,000 pounds" Tyler explains as he tugs on it to test it.

I look up and skeptically say "Is that more than a werewolf can pull?"

 "I have no idea"

I sighed heavily as I looked up at him with concern as I screw on the cap. "Hey Tyler, how are you doing?"

He sighs "Still human."

He walks over to the back of the cellar and starts to take off his shirt and Caroline and I whirl around and avoid our eyes.

"Oh my god, you're not gonna get naked, are you?" Caroline questions.

"It's elastic" We take a look back to see what he means by that and see he's talking about his shorts, black with blue strips. "What should I wear? I don't think it's like The Hulk, where I get to keep my pants."

Caroline blushes and looks away quickly before I can notice but I already did. "Alright, just don't let me see you man-bits" I replied sarcastically.

Caroline and I sit anxiously on the ground, looking up at the full moon that rests in the sky.

We had to help Tyler chain himself up, he has chains wrapped around each wrist and ankle, as well as a chain looped around his neck, all attached to the walls of the cave.

"What time is it?" He asked impatiently. Care pulls out her phone and checks the time "Almost eight. What time does the moon crest or whatever?"

Tyler sniffs "Not for a while. Mason's journal said the first transformation can happen before the moon hits its apex."

"Does it say how long you'll actually be a wolf?" I questioned, trying to get the words out.

"A few hours. Maybe more, maybe less."

He tries to come sit down but is pulled back by the chains. He glances up at us before reaching for the bottle filled with wolfsbane

I bite my lip with nerves "Are you- are you sure you want to do that?"

He nods hesitantly "Yeah. Mason said it'll diminish my strength so I can't break free."

He unscrews the cap and raises it to his mouth and starts to drink.

"Tyler..."

He drinks a few swallows, but he begins to choke and then starts to gag, vomiting on the ground. He falls to his knees as he coughs. Caroline gets closer to him and touches his back.

"No."

"Shhh..."

"Don't! Don't!"

They look at each other all meaningly

"I'm sorry." She responds by running her hand over his head.
