After daggering Elijah, again, we took him to the boarding house, this time keeping the dagger in place. Damon and Stefan carry Elijah's body down into the cellar, When they put him down on the ground, Stefan puts an arm around Elena to comfort her.

"Uhh! What do we have here?" said Damon as he searched Elijah, pulling out the moonstone.

"A little moonstone bar of soap. I'll hold on to this." Damon said slipping it into his pocket.

"So, that's it. I mean, as long as we keep the dagger in there, then he stays dead." I mutter.

Damon nods "Pretty much."

"Okay, then...Good night." Elena says.

We all start to walk out after her before she whirls around

"You know, you guys want me to fight, fine, I'll fight. But if we're gonna do this, you can't keep anything from me anymore. From this moment on, we're doing it my way."

The three of us exchange looks shrugs agreeing "That seems fair."

She looked at me and Stefan, waiting for our response. I sighed and crossed my arms "Okay" Stefan said the same "Okay."

"Okay." Elena leaves and I turn to the brothers, "I'll see you guys tomorrow, bye"

I went home, to wait for Matt to come from work so I could tell him what Jenna's doing for me. I half suspected it was to get a rise from John but that just made this 10 times better.  I'd rather Jenna be my guardian then him.

There was a knock at the door and for a second I thought Matt lost his key so I opened, not expecting to see John.

"We need to talk," John said when I opened the door. I scowled at him. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I'm here because we need to talk," He said, letting himself inside.

"Why come in John. No I'm not doing anything, please tell me why you are at my home!"

"I don't like this relationship you have with Alaric Saltzman"

I scoffed "What do you mean?"

"I mean this! You put yourself in danger! Going against werewolves? You daggered an original! You're going to get yourself killed!"

"Oh no! No! You don't get a say in anything I do!" I yelled at him as I slammed the door and stormed up to him.

"And don't you dare blame Alaric for this! I wanted him to teach me! I wanted to be strong, I want to help protect my friends!

You don't get to play the father card because you aren't my father! If you wanted to be that why didn't you come forward when my mom died! You have had 10 years to be my father!

10 years! I mean did you ever even think about coming forward!

I mean I am practically an orphan! My aunt is god knows where with god knows who, my mom died when I was a kid and-and Zach is dead! I practically move from house to house wanting to be with my biological family without leaving my adopted one!

I work at the grill to pay the bills! My whole life is a crazy roller-coaster filled with disappointment and loss! And if you're here because Jenna applied to be my guardian then I don't know why you're here, I'd rather have someone who I've known my whole life rather than someone like you! Okay! And before Jenna, I've always had to look out for myself! Always! So why can't you just let me have this!"

I storm to the door and hold it open "Leave. Now!" He walks to the door and steps out, looking pretty stunned as my words sunk in. Before I close the door I turn to face him.

"Don't you ever play concerned father again!" I slammed the door in his face and fell against the door, tears prickling my eyes. I retreated to my room and collapsed on the bed.
