I walk into Elenas room where she and Stefan sit at the window as I try to call Matt again. I bite my nail as it goes to voicemail. "Matt, Matt please answer me. Let me explain, okay. I'll tell you everything. Just let me explain. Come home"
I rake a hand through my hair and groan. This wasn't supposed to happen.
"Hey you okay?" Stefan asked as he looked up at me worried.
"No. God this wasn't supposed to happen, he wasn't supposed to find out like ever! And now he thinks Caroline had something to do with Vicki which wasn't her fault. And oh my god! What if he finds my weapons at home!"
"Hey calm down! Matt will come around" I sighed and breathed out a nod
"Ah, this is bad. Between Isobel and Jenna and now Matt, this is disaster bad." Elena mutters from next to Stefan.
"Yeah."
We all looked up when John appeared at the door "Girls, can you come downstairs, please? I need to talk to you."
Elena shook her head "Heh. I have nothing to say to you."
"Please. It's important. You, too, Stefan." That's weird he hates Stefan, which is probably why we listened.
We all went downstairs and into the kitchen, Elena and I froze when we saw Isobel standing there. "I asked John for a do-over."
We all turned around to him
"You invited her in?" I yell, why! Why the hell would he do that!!!
"She has information about Klaus. Please, just listen to her, okay?"
Elena looks at Stefan and me.
"All right. What do you know?" Stefan asks.
John, Isobel, Elena, Stefan and I walk into the kitchen.
"Since I was last here, I've been doing everything possible to find Klaus. We knew our best chance was to find him before he could find you." Isobel explains.
"Best chance at what?" Stefan questions.
"Keeping Elena alive." John explains.
"You don't get to talk, okay, not after everything you've done." Elena snaps.
"Were you able to find Klaus?" I ask.
Isobel shakes her head. "No. Nobody knows where he is but there are these rumors that are flying around. That a doppelgänger exists."
"Which means any vampire that wants to get in favor with Klaus will be lining up to capture you." John adds.
Elena shakes her head and crosses her arms. "I'm not buying any of this."
She looks at Isobel.
"The last time that you were here, you made it clear that you didn't give a damn about us. Now all of a sudden I'm supposed to believe that you want to help?"
John speaks up. "Isobel's been helping all along. Klaus has been obsessed with finding Katherine for centuries. All it would take was any one of those 1864 tomb vampires to spread the word around that Katherine was still alive and it would bring him straight here to Mystic Falls, where you were bound to be discovered, so we killed them."
I scoffed at him, pointing a finger at Stefan. "And almost killed Stefan and Damon in the process."
Isobel gets up and moves towards Elena and me.
"I have a safe house that I can take you to. The deed is in your names. No vampires can get in without your permission, not even me. Let me help you." I look at Elena, unsure. I don't wanna trust her but, it seems like a good deal.
Elena takes a step closer, "You wanna help? Then get the hell out of my house."
