Prologue

Trigger Warning: car accident

"As always, Giselle, you're doing great!"

The girl could only give their choreographer a small smile as she already felt tired after 5 hours rehearsal. Pakiramdam niya ay nasa mismong concert na siya sa sobrang pagod. She walked towards her bag, leaving her other group members to get her flask.

Umupo lang siya sa sahig habang umiinom pa at pinapanood ang apat pa niyang kagrupo na may kanya-kanya nang ginagawa. 'Yung isa sa kanila ay mukhang walang balak magpahinga pa ata dahil hanggang ngayon ay nagsasayaw pa rin siya.

"Harper, you keep messing up." Giselle watched her fellow member being scolded by their choreographer. Tahimik lang naman si Harper habang nakayuko at nakikinig sa mga pinagsasabi ng kaharap niya. "You'll ruin the performance if you don't do better."

Giselle stoop up, walking towards Harper. Napatingin sa kanya ang choreographer nila, pati rin si Harper na halata sa mga mata niya ang pagod.

"She's been rehearsing for hours, kailangan na niya ng pahinga. You know she cannot perform tomorrow, if you won't let her get a rest." Giselle said. Binigyan siya ng tingin ni Harper, lowkey saying that she's fine. Pero hindi niya 'yon pinansin at pinilit pa ang choreographer nila.

"Okay fine, you're right. Everyone, take a rest, then we will continue." The choreographer left the room para magpahinga rin.

Harper immediately lied down on the floor, feeling so exhausted. Nilapitan siya ng isa pa nilang kagrupo, si Evelyn. She gave her a bottled water para makainom siya.

"If you're having a hard time learning our choreography, tell me because I will help you." Giselle suggested, sitting beside Harper. "Let's practic until 1:00AM, how's that sound?"

"There's no need, I can practice alone." Harper secretly rolled her eyes, iniisip na nagmamarunong na naman si Giselle.

"That's a great idea actually, mas alam ni Giselle ang buong choreo natin. Let her help you," Riley said, the rapper of their group. Harper didn't say anything or kahit sino sa kanila. Giselle was waiting for her to say yes. Pero bigla nalang 'tong umalis.

Riley just shrugged, not caring at all. Giselle sighed, shaking her head. She just want their performace to be perfect for tomorrow, kaya siya nag-suggest na tulungan ang kaibigan.

Gabi na nang matapos sila sa pagre-rehearse maliban kay Harper na nagpaiwan sa kanila sa agency nila. Riley and their leader, Piper, already left. Giselle stayed since she still wants to help Harper.

Giselle went back to their practice room and nakita doon si Harper na kasamang sumasayaw si Evelyn. She just watched them from the outside, nagdadalawang-isip kung papasok pa ba.

"Oh, careful." Giselle heard Evelyn said. Pumasok na siya sa loob kaya napalingon sa kanya ang dalawa. "Giselle, what are you doing here?"

"I'm going to help," simpleng sabi niya sa dalawa. Evelyn just nodded, wala naman problema sa kanya 'yon. But Harper looked annoyed. Giselle was already putting her bag down on the floor when Harper suddenly spoke.

"I said, I don't need it." There's a hint of annoyance in her voice. "I get it, you're the best in our group. Pero hindi ko kailangan ng tulong mo kaya 'wag ka na mag-magaling."

Evelyn tried to shut her friend up, knowing the both of them, parehas mabilis uminit ang ulo nila. Kaso magkaiba lang ang way ng paglalabas nila ng galit. She held Harper's hand, squeezing it a bit to calm her down.
