"Here,"

I waved my hands when I saw Oliver's car approaching to mine. My smile got bigger and bigger as the car kept getting closer to me. Kanina pa kasi naghihintay dito at sobrang init pa ng sikat ng araw, kanina pa ako pinagpapawisan. Now, finally he's here!

Oliver parked his car in front of mine. I walked towards the driver's seat and knocked on his window. I can see him a little through the window, nakakunot ng unti ang noo. He rolled his window down, not looking at his side.

"Hey, I'm so glad you came," I said, one hand covering my eyes a little because the sun was blinding me. "Sorry for the inconvenience, Architect."

Oliver didn't say anything, he just looked at me with furrowed eyebrows, probably getting blind the brightness of the sun too. He looked around the place before turning at me.

"Ang layo na ng narating mo," he said and looked around again. "Lumagpas ka na nga sa site eh. Kung saan-saan ka dumaan."

"What? Really?" I innocently asked. Well, I was just following what the Waze was saying to me. Hindi ko naman akalaing ililigaw lang ako no'n.

Oliver looked away from me, shaking his head. Is he disappointed? It wasn't even my fault, it was just an honest mistake. I almost rolled my eyes but I realized, naistorbo ko pala siya sa trabaho niya.

"Sige na, sumunod ka nalang sa'kin," he said. He gestured me to get in my car which I did.

Napapikit ako nang maramdam ko ang lamig sa loob ng kotse ko. Good thing I didn't turn the aircon off, sobrang init talaga sa labas! I turned all the aircon to my side, para sa akin lahat ng lamig.

Oliver started driving so I put my seatbelt on and followed him. He was driving so slow but I think he was just making sure that I'm able to keep up with him. Pero nakakainip naman sa sobrang bagal niya!

I sighed, getting impatient now. Binusinahan ko siya, signalling him to drive faster. Ginawa naman niya pero may pagkabagal pa rin. It's still better than his pace before.

While driving on our way to the site, I was looking around to familiarize myself. Baka mamaya ay maligaw na naman ako. God, I don't know who to call anymore if that happens. Pagkarating namin sa site ay na-realize ko rin na sobrang layo na talaga ng narating ko and mali pala ang nilikuan ko.

"Ah, fuck, it's so hot." It felt like I was being cook because of how hot the sunlight was. I couldn't help it but to get back in the car.

I looked outside and saw Oliver just went out from his car. I noticed he was holding an umbrella in his right hand. Kunot pa ang noo habang naglalakad papalapit sa sasakyan ko. He suddenly knocked on the window and gestured me to come out.

"Tara na," he said and opened the umbrella. He lightly pulled me closer to him para masama rin ako sa payong niya.

I was trying to not get too close to Oliver but I can't since we're under the same umbrella. Hinayaan ko nalang dahil wals namang kaso sa akin. Hindi ko lang kasi mapigilan na amoyin ang pabango niya. Did he change his perfume? I wanted to ask him.

"Ito na," he suddenly said. "Wala pang masyadong progress dahil kakasimula palang naman. Maybe, next week we can see a lot of progress here."
