Giselle
"Giselle, hija."
My eyes went to Manang Rowena when I heard her knocked on my door. I stood up from my bed to open the door. As soon as I opened it, I noticed Manang was wearing her casual clothes so I assumed that she was going somewhere.
"What is it, Manang?" I asked her.
Manang said.
"Of course you can," pag-payag ko kaagad. She has nothing to do here anyway and it's Sunday. She can take it as her rest day, too.
Paniniguro niya.
"Yes, Manang, we'll be fine here. You should go ahead," I assured her. Just like I said, it's Sunday. Only Manang Rowena is staying here everyday since she doesn't want to leave us alone here.
Manang Rowena gave me a nod and was about to go when Mavi suddenly appearer behind me. She was just watching cartoons on my phone seconds ago. Mukhang napansin niya si Manang.
"Where are you going, Nanay Rowena?" Mavi asked with her little voice. She was tilting her head to the side, still behind me.
"Uuwi lang si Nanay pero babalik rin bukas," Manang Rowena answered with a fond smile. Then, she went closer to Mavi to give her a pat on her head. "Behave ka lang dito ha."
"Yes po," my daughter responded politely. She even smiled cutely at Manang. "Take care."
Manang Rowena waved at me before closing the door of my room for me.
"It's only the two of us," I bent down a little. "Movie marathon?" I asked, moving my eyebrows up and down. I suddenly thought of having a bonding time with her.
"Barbie?" She excitedly asked, giving me the biggest smile. I giggled and nodded my head. I suddenly carried her, making her scream while laughing.
"You're growing big," I said while carrying her. My baby is really growing and it's weirdly making me sad.
I put Mavi on the bed, getting the remote of the TV. I turned it on and sat beside my daughter when my phone suddenly vibrated. I took my phone and saw a message from Oliver.
What he said still lingers inside my head. It seems like what he said made my hopes up.
I don't want to assume things so I didn't tried talking to him after that. It's safer to not say a word. Less mistakes could happen between us.
Architect Añonuevo:
My car? It's Sunday now.I read his message and I remembered what I told him last time. I forgot again!
