"I.. need to go."

I took my hand back from Oliver and even stepped away from him. My heart is beating so loud! I'm scared that he might hear that. I tried calming my heart down by breathing deeply but it doesn't calming down. I held my chest, feeling how fast my heartbeat was.

It was so fast! What the fuck was Oliver thinking, anyway?! Why did he suddenly kiss me? Buti sana kung ginawa niya 'to no'ng nakainom kaming dalawa. He's also acting like nothing happened! Payapa niyang inaayos ang pinagkainan niya. How the fuck?!

Oliver looked up at me when he noticed me staring at him. He gave me a small smile before putting the lunch box inside the paper bag again. I felt my face heated because of his smile. What the hell, Giselle! That was just a smile! Why are you feeling that way?

"Architect, nasaan 'yung floor plan--"

I turned around when I heard someone entered the office. I saw Adrianne with wide eyes, surprised to see me here. I immediately looked away, not wanting him to see how red I was. He might figure it out that Oliver kind of.. kiss me? And teased us about it.

"Oh! Ba't ka andito?" Nagtatakang tanong niya sabay turo pa sa akin. I just looked at him, unable to give him an answer because I still couldn't calm my heart down. Baka mautal lang ako.

"She just asked about the construction site," Oliver answered for me. He glanced at me, giving me another small smile.

"Kailangan pumunta pa dito? Bawal mag-text nalang?" Adrianne asked suspiciously. He even squinted his eyes, looking at both of us as if we did a crime.

"Anong floor plan kailangan mo?" Oliver asked instead, acting he didn't hear Adrianne's question. He walked towards a drawer and looked for something.

"Ah, 'yung sa Laguna," Adrianne said. Mabilis na nawala sa isip niya 'yung tanong kanina. Oliver looked for that floor plan inside the drawer. He took out a drawing tube and gave it to Adrianne. "Salamat, boss!"

"I'll go ahead," I told Oliver. Kinuha ko na 'yung paper bag sa may table at aalis na sana kaso narinig ko pang bumulong si Adrianne.

"Sus, nag-tanong daw," he whispered, teasing us. Nakatanggap tuloy siya ng batok kay Oliver.

"Lumayas ka na rin," he ordered.

I gave Oliver a look before walking out of his office with Adrianne. Sa ibang direksyon na siya dumaan habang ako ay pumunta sa may elevator ulit para bumaba na.

Habang nasa sasakyan ako hanggang sa makauwi, dala-dala ko sa isip ko ang sinabi sa akin ni Oliver. Gusto niyang makipagbalikan sa akin. Hindi ko alam kung ano ba ang dapat kong maramdaman sa sinabi niya.

To be honest, I felt nervous about what he said. Naisip ko na, gano'n pa rin ba ang iisipin niya kapag sinabi ko na sa kanya na may anak siya sa akin? 'Di ko na itatanggi, nabuhayan 'yung pag-asa sa loob ko nang sabihin niya 'yon. Sa tingin ko mas magiging magaan para sa akin kapag inamin ko na sa kanya ang totoo.

But I couldn't fully trust myself. I just couldn't trust my thoughts. There's still this voice that won't stop telling me some 'what if's'. It's keeping me from telling the truth... from being ready.

"A chance? I suggest, give it to him!"

I shook my head because of Piper. We were in a coffee shop that was just minutes away from Riley's condo. It's Saturday and Piper took us with her to workout. Ngayon lang siya naging free kaya nag-aya agad. Doon ulit kami sa may gym ng condo ni Riley.
