Chapter 7: Flashback PT:2

You sat there and watched as Eren walked into his cell, looking exhausted. He sat in his bed and looked at you.

"You look like shit." You said, seeing his eye bags.

"Well, I just got an earful of Hanjie's pet titans and what she plans on doing with me." Eren sighed leaning his back against the wall.

"That'll do it." You laughed.

"Well I'm glad you're the one here to put me to sleep."

"And why is that?"

"Well I want to hear more about how you were in the scouts and how Captain Levi persuaded you to fall in love with him." You couldn't hold back your smile when he put such emphasis on the word "Love".

Well apparently you had to give this kid a bedtime story of your times in the survey corps.

*Flashback*

You laid in your new bed, and stared at your brother who was fast asleep, then you looked up at the top bunk to Simon who was also fast asleep. He was snoring so damn loud.

You couldn't believe you were forced to join the survey corps... fighting titans... what the hell was that going to be like.

Looking back at your brother you grew worried, you promised your mother you would do anything to protect him... how were you going to protect him against titans when you didn't even know how to protect yourself from then.

But strangely enough that wasn't the first thing on your mind... When the fuck did Levi join the survey corps? You were still so in shock of him being here. Last time you saw him was when Kenny grabbed you by the wrist and dragged you away leaving Levi behind.

*next day*

After eating breakfast, you along with Simon and Athen stood in line at scout training. You barely listened to what your trainers ordered as you seemed to find yourself zoning out 90% of the time.

Actually half the time you always looked up to catch a glimpse at Levi. He truly did grow into a man, still short but a man now. The first time you met him you were four years old and he had just turned eight, now you're 18 and he's probably 22, you honestly thought you would never see him again.

When you looked over at him one more time, you caught him staring at you. He quickly averted his gaze to look at the others when you heard one of the trainers yell to get in line in front of other trainees and to begin basic combat training.

"(Y/n), come let's line up here." Simon said as he pulled your hand to one of the lines formed at one of the trainers that looked, somewhat strong.

"Athen come." You called out to your brother as he took a place in front of you.

As the line went on, you began to notice your brothers shoulders were shaking. He flinched at your touch on his shoulders and you leaned forward to whisper in his ear, "don't worry, he's weak," you said, observing the trainer you're all about to go fist to fist with, "look how open his left side is." Your brother was still shaking, probably nervous since he's not that good of a fighter. "Just try to dodge his first attack and watch as he leaves his left side completely unprotected, at that point take your shot." You then tapped him on his shoulders causing him to jump again as he was next to fight.

When you looked up you noticed Levi's gaze over you. You held your breath a little, that stare was absolutely terrifying... you turned back to see your brother approaching the trainer and he readied himself.

"Come on Athen!" You turned at Simon's yelling, now everyone stared at all of you You smacked him across the chest.

Idiot! Now Athen was going to feel all the pressure. "Yeah come on Athen!" The trainer mocked, now in a fighting stance.
