Love, Lies and Levi (Levi x Reader)

Chapter 18

You and Levi walked out of the castle to head for your squads, you grabbed Levi's arm as he tried to escape so he wouldn't have to apologize to Ava.

"Oh no you don't." You pulled on him.

"(Y/n), I don't apologize." He tried to push you off.

"You owe me, even more now after the morning gift I gave you." You smirked and looked down at what was in your mouth earlier.

He shook you to stop staring, "Yeah and I told you I'd return the favour tonight (Y/n), now let me go to my squad." He somewhat whined and you just pulled on him, with your eyes furrowed, and he gave up.

With his arm linked to yours you found your way to your squad, all of them in line.

"Ava-"

"Captain! Please let me go first." She interrupted you and walked closer to both you and Levi, "I understand that being the second in command is a lot of work and I will have to make sacrifices, including my own life." She paused and looked down and you felt Levi was about to speak, "But, I will be more than honoured to sacrifice my life for you, Captain, my squad and for humanity. I will do everything in my power to keep you safe, as not only your cadet but as your friend." She now looked up at you, then at the squad and at the same time they all put their fists to their chests.

What happened next sent everyone in complete shock. Your eyes widened and your jaw dropped as Levi pulled Ava into his embrace and hugged her. Her chin rested on his shoulders and her eyes were as wide as they could get, she looked at you with such disbelief.

When he pulled away, he held her by her shoulders, "Thank you, Ava." She just stared at him, still in shock.

"For what?" She finally was able to say something.

"The whole reason I was so against (Y/n) being Captain, is because I didn't trust anyone other than myself to protect her, and keep her safe... but now, I finally trust someone else." You smiled to yourself, so happy that this was the man you married and that you loved and that loved you so much, you were forever grateful for him.

You watched as Ava's face lightened, "I promise Captain Levi, I will do everything I can to keep her safe."

"And we will too." Ekho and Simon came forward.

"Well, I thought this was obvious, but I will too." Your brother stepped forward too, smiling down at you.

"Good." Levi stated, going back to his monotone voice and bored face. He turned to you, "I have to go to my squad, good luck today."

"You too."

*Later that day*

You and Ava were laughing so loud at the table at Ekho's reenactment of his first time using ODM gear and how that's why for the first weeks he had a busted lip and black eyes.

Today you had your most successful day with your squad, only one mishap.

In fact it seemed like everyone was in a good mood today, every table was loud and laughing, even Levi and Hanjie's.

Ava pulled you in closer, "Hey, you did good today Captain." She said in your ear.

"So did you my second in command." And a smile grew on her face.

"You're a lucky lady (Y/n)," you tilted your head in confusion as to what she was talking about, "you truly have someone who loves the shit out of you." She turned to Levi and so did you. It was like he felt the two of you staring as he turned to face you both. You both quickly turned back around and giggled like two little girls again.

"I am very lucky." You admitted.

"What about in the bedroom? Are you lucky there?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Ava! Stop." you laughed, slightly uncomfortable.

"Yes Ava stop." Your brother chimed in, "that isn't something I want to hear about my baby sister."

"Oh come on Athen! Just because you're a virgin doesn't mean she is!" Ekho spat out his water laughing at Ava's comment and Athen just glared at her.

"I'm not a virgin Ava, I've had my fair share of wom-"

"Ew! Okay, okay, I get it! No more sex talk." You said covering your ears from your brother talking. You understood why he didn't want to hear about your sex life.

"I just can't imagine Captain 'no emotions' over there having sex." Simon said and everyone somewhat agreed and you just laughed as a response not wanting to actually respond.

"And why is that so hard to imagine." They all looked at the body standing behind you, all of their smiles disappeared. And you tilted your head back to see Levi.

"I guess we only see you as the mean Captain that's all." Ava said smiling up at him, forcefully.

He only glared at her, knowing she was lying. "Anyways, I'm tired and am going to bed now." He said.

"Oh, okay." You looked at him with a blank face, not entirely sure why he had to tell you that.

"Join me?" He added, and you nodded, and stood to walk out with him.

"Same time tomorrow guys." You said before you started to walk away from them.

"Yes Captain!" Ekho shouted.

"Have fun." Ava sang, winking at you, and you rolled your eyes.

Before you made it out the door you were quickly picked up and thrown over Levi's shoulder.

"Ah! Levi what are you doing?!" You yelped.

"It's time for me to pay you back for the nice morning gift you gave me."
