Love, Lies and Levi (Levi x Reader)

Chapter 6

Before you could finish telling the rest of the story you were interrupted by Erwin as he came down to get you and Eren.

"Sorry Eren, guess I'll finish telling you the story another time." He pouted as you got up to stand next to Erwin.

"What story?" Erwin asked, handing you the keys to unlock Eren's cell.

"Just the story of you forcing me to join the survey corps." You said, as you opened the cell door.

"Ah, best decision I've ever made." He said, smiling at Eren. You all began to head towards the exit. "By the way (Y/n), Hanjie's back and so is your brother." A smile took over your face as you sprinted out the exit to go find him and the rest of his squad.

As you sprinted out of the front doors of the castle, you could see them in the distance, putting their horses in the stables. You spotted his dark hair and saw that he was talking to Levi and you began to run again.

"Athen!" You shouted and when he saw you a huge smile grew on his face.

"(Y/n)!" He caught you as you jumped in his arms and he spun you around. "I'm glad to see you're still alive." He said, as he put you down.

"Come on, you really think I'm going to be the one to die first between us." You pushed him a little, teasing him. You turned to Levi, that same frown displayed on his face. "What were you two talking about?" You asked him but he just shrugged. "Hey, asshole, what did I say about ignoring me?"

"Yeah and how did that turn out for you?" He countered, and your mind went to the shower sex you guys had this morning, causing you to blush a little.

"You guys are gross." Athen said, turning away from you both. You were going to follow him, but somehow ended up on the floor. There was a lot of weight on your back and you suddenly felt a tight squeeze around your body.

"Oh (Y/n)! I missed you!" You heard Hanjie scream in your ear as she was still wrapped around you.

"Oi, Hanjie, get off of her." Levi said, reaching for your hand to help you up.

"Yeah don't break my sister please." He pulled her off of you.

"Oh relax you two," she smacked them both in the arm, "she's had worse things done to her." She smiled at you, opening her arms, you went in and wrapped your arms around her.

Although she was a lot, you loved Hanjie, she was always the most supportive and positive person in your life.

"I missed you too Hanjie." And she squeezed you tighter.

"Congratulations by the way!" She shouted as she let you go.

You looked at her in confusion.

"Oh no! Are you pregnant?!" Your brother yelled. "Did you impregnate MY SISTER?!" He turned his attention on Levi, but before you could object Hanjie spoke over you.

"NO YOU SILLY IDIOT! On her finally becoming a Captain!" She cheered jumping up and down. You still looked at her in confusion, and you turned to Levi who looked just as confused as you did.

"What do you mean becoming Captain?" Levi asked, now looking more annoyed than usual.

"Hanjie!" You heard Erwin approach and gestured for her to 'shut up.'

"Oh..." She looked up at him with a guilty look on her face, "sorry Commander." She then turned her back on him and sped walked away.

Erwin turned to you and Levi, "why don't you two come with me." You both follow him and make your way back into the castle.

Now in an old office, Erwin asked you two to sit and offered you both some tea. "I'm sure you both are wondering why you're here."

"I'm assuming it's about the expedition with the Jaeger kid and closing up the hole in Wall Maria." You said, assuming that was the case since you were still beyond confused.

"Well not exactly." He started and stared only at you now. "It's time you become Captain, (Y/n)."

"Absolutely not." Levi answered. "She can't take care of an entire squad by herself, she's not ready for that!" He continued, as you just sat there in silence.

"I'm sorry Levi, I wasn't exactly talking to you." Erwin finally managed to get a word in and looked right to you again. "So what do you say (Y/n)? Do you want to be a Captain?" You couldn't believe you were being offered the position as captain of a squad.

As Levi continued to argue to keep you as a member of his squad you finally picked up the courage to speak. "Commander?"

"Yes (Y/n)?"

"Who would be a part of my squad?"

"Forget it." Levi interrupted again, "She's not a squad leader and she's not ready to be one."

"Well regardless Levi, she will no longer be a part of your squad." Your head snapped back to Erwin, were you being kicked out or something? What was going on? "You see (Y/n), Captain Levi here can't seem to let you perform to the best of your best abilities, obviously for personal reasons, which as I've said six years ago, that I was completely fine with." You turned to Levi who was frowning at Erwin. "The thing is, we need you (Y/n), upfront and fighting. So you either join my squad or your own squad."

After several back and forths between Erwin and Levi, you rested your hand on Levi's shoulder to calm him down. "I'll do it." You said. Erwin gave you a satisfied smile, but Levi got up and walked out of the office.

It was a little frustrating how so little he trusted you taking care of a squad, but you knew it was more of him not being able to protect you and keep an eye on you. But Erwin was right, although you were a part of Levi's squad you were told often to stay back and to only attack if threatened or ordered too.

"He'll come around." Erwin reassured you. "Now come with me outside, so we can meet your squad and then I'll give you your first order for the night." You nodded and headed out the castle with him.

As you walked out you saw 4 people standing in green cloaks. Your heart skipped as you saw your brother, Simon, Ekho and Ava, the two other cadets that trained with you when you first joined the Survey Corps.

When you reached them they all stood in a straight line, their fist to their chests, "Captain!" They all yelled in sync. You let out a small yelp of joy and ran to them taking them all in your arms and hugging them. They all hugged you back, you were so happy to see them.

To be honest, you honestly thought Ava and Ekho died in one of the past expeditions, but never the less you were happy to see them.

"Well nice to see you haven't grown an inch since the last time I saw you shorty." Ekho teased rubbing the top of your head.

"Hey knock it off, that's your captain you're teasing." Simon said, smiling down at you.

"Well now that you've met your squad, I have a special job for you tonight (Y/n)." You turned back to Erwin.

"You have to watch over Jaeger tonight." You rolled your eyes at him.

Great your first mission as Captain is babysitting.

A/N: Helllo so yes kind of a boring chapter but it's important to the plot, especially your brother and your new squad.

And a glimpse at Levis overprotectiveness is kinda cuteee right?
