Chapter 12

You woke up in Levi's arms, and smiled at his sleeping face.

"What?" He said, his eyes still closed. Your eyes widened from shock. How did he know you were looking at him? "Are you just going to stare or-"

You moved up and kissed his lips, he pulled you closer and deepened the kiss.

"Good morning." You smiled.

"Morning." You moved your head to his chest, getting in a more comfortable position. "How was it babysitting the titan kid?"

"Pretty good, he was really interested about our story." You said, tracing circles on his abs.

"Our story?"

"Yeah," you looked up at him, "you know how we fell in love." You emphasized on the word.

"Tch. You were the one obsessed with me." You lost your smile and you rolled your eyes. "Just don't go too much into detail." He added.

You lifted your head from his chest and looked him in the eyes, "and why is that?" You felt him shift uncomfortably. "You don't want me telling him that you used to take me at any chance you could get?" You slid your hand down his abs. "Or how you'd fuck me anywhere I asked you too." Your hand moved down to his now hard length .

You squealed and laughed as Levi flipped you over on your back and gave you a great morning present.

*Later that day*

Both you and Levi walked out of the caste doors heading to your squads.

"So what do you have planned for today?" You asked him as you looked around for your squad. You told them to be at the stables by 10:00 and it was 10:10.

"Hanjie and I are going to do some tests on Eren. I think we've found a way to keep him contained as a titan."

"Interesting, just be careful please." You said, slightly more serious. You were nervous a bit, you didn't really know what Eren was capable of as a Titan.

"I'll be fine," he turned completely to you, "trust me." You rolled your eyes, but smiled at him.

"Captain!" You turned to see your squad on their horses heading in your direction.

"Oh (Y/n), your first official day as Captain and you're late." Your brother teased shaking his head in disapproval ,

"Oh shut up." You snarled at him.

"Hey! Captain meanie you're still around!" Ava shouted all excited.

"Of course I'm still around brat."

"Anyways I'll see you later." You turned from Levi and headed to the stables to get your horse.

But before you were out of sight you turned back to him and blew him an exaggerated kiss. In front of others Levi and you kept your relationship pretty low key, but these people have been by your side ever since your relationship started and were all witnesses of your marriage.

Satisfied with his annoyed reaction, you turned around and continued to the stables.

"Captain what are we doing today?" Ekho asked as you climbed a top of your horse.

"Let's head to the forest and work on attacking as a team, as you all know I'm not one for selfish kills. So let's work on that." You began to head for the forest where people went to practice cutting titan napes.

"Captain?" You turned to Ava, "is there an upcoming expedition we should be worried about?"

"Potentially." You said softly, not entirely sure what Erwin had planned. And with that you went running into the forest with your squad.

*Later that day*

"I HAD IT!! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN IN MY WAY!" You heard your brother yell at Ekho.

"YEAH WELL IF YOU HADN'T CUT AVA OFF WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT TO STRIKE WE COULD HAVE KILLED THAT ONE FASTER!" He countered.

You zoned out as they continued to argue, you were annoyed that they failed miserably at working as a team. You guessed maybe their chemistry wasn't as strong as you thought it was.

When you reached the stables and put your horse away. They were all now going at it arguing about stupidness.

"ENOUGH!" You finally snapped, startling all the horses and shutting them up. "If you don't learn how to get along, and trust each other as a team, then you are not fit to be a part of my squad." You began to walk past them but froze now in between them. "Don't, make me feel like I'm not fit to be captain." And with that you headed for the yard to check on Levi and his squad leaving yours behind to do whatever.

You sulked in misery as you walked, you hated that you failed on your first day as Captain. You were also annoyed that Levi was right, you weren't ready to be Captain, but you didn't want to admit it to him... not yet at least.

When you reached the yard, you walked past Hanjie, who didn't even look up at you, she was talking to herself and examining papers. She looked out of sorts a bit.

You wondered, how it went with Eren today. You hoped he was okay... because you actually enjoyed talking to that kid. You cared for him.

Now seeing Eren at a table with your old squad, you stared at them, slightly sad... you missed them already.

You looked back at Eren and he looked absolutely miserable, bandages all over his arms. 'What happened to him?' You wondered.

Before you went to him, you walked a little further and stood next to Levi.

"How was your first day as Captain?" He asked looking at the sunset.

"Fine." You lied, your voice shaking.

"Really?" He asked, knowing fully you were lying.

You turned to meet his eyes and you almost broke at his gaze. "I'll tell you about it later." You sighed.

He moved closer to say something but was cut off by Petra calling you. You turned and smiled at your old squad member, she was holding a cup of tea.

"Here Captain, as you asked." She handed Levi the cup.

"Thank you Petra." He said and turned back to the sunset.

Petra read you like a book, she saw it in your face that you didn't have a successful day and decided to talk about something else.

"That Eren kid," you both turned to look at her, "he really likes you." You heard Levi groan a bit in annoyance. "OH no! Sorry Captain that's not what I meant," she stammered, rubbing the back of her head, "I meant he really likes your stories, he always asks about you and the captain and how you were back in the Survey Corps."

"Yeah, he's been asking me for storytimes about me and the Captain, I guess he's just shocked that's all." You said, with a slight smile.

Petra returned the smile but all your eyes widened at the sudden explosion of light behind you.
