I woke up by being hit on my head.

"Ow!" I opened my eyes.

Mega was standing in front of me, a blue notebook in his hands.

It wasn't a hard hit, but it still hurt.

"Mega!"

He laughed and ran downstairs.

"Come here!" I jumped up, chasing him.

He disappeared.

'He has probably gotten up early and found a good finding place.'

I looked around for any signs of him.

"Megaaa," I called, "I know where you are!"

I explored the house earlier yesterday, so I knew a possibility where he was hiding.

"There you are!" I said suddenly opening a door.

Mega laughed and walked out, still holding the blue notebook.

"I wake him up with coffee in bed, and he wakes me up by hitting me?" I asked Mega.

He grinned, gave me a kiss on the cheek, and walked towards the kitchen.

After breakfast, we finished unpacking.

It was a big job, and very tiring.

Around suppertime, Mega and I were completely done.

We both just sat on the couch, exhausted.

As we were too tired to cook anything, we just ordered some pizza.

By the time the food came, we had everything completed and recycled all the boxes.

The house looked cozy and like home.

I mean, it was going to be our new home.

I put my phone down, thinking.

It was Mega's birthday soon, and I wanted to give him something special, but I didn't yet know what.

He always wanted a cat...

His b-day was in 2 weeks...

I could get him a kitten...

He loved them...

I found myself staring at the wall, thinking.

I looked sideways at Mega, who was gazing at his phone.

I was bored.

"Movie?" I asked.

He nodded.

We ended up watching one, and then another one, and another one.

It was late.

"Megaaaaa," I stretched and yawned, "let's go to beeedddd."

He closed his eyes so a second, making himself more comfortable, showing me that he wasn't moving anywhere.

"Megaaaa, it's latee."

He just yawned, his eyes still closed.

"You scared to sleep alone?" I asked, smirking.

Mega opened his eyes lazily, looking annoyed.

He looked at me for a moment, before closing his eyes again.

"Furry."

I grinned.

I knew that he wasn't afraid to be alone, I was just teasing him.

There was silence.

I stood up, checking my phone, Mega still lying on the couch, eyes closed.

I came up and casually picked him up, carrying him upstairs.

His eyes flew open, "What are you doing?"

"Well, you see, as you didn't want to walk upstairs, I decided to just take you."

I smirked at his reaction.

"I could've just slept on the couch!" he said, blushing.

Gosh, he looked cute when he was uncomfortable.

I put him down on the bed.

He sat up, bright red, looking at anywhere but me.

I left the room, coming back soon with my bedding.

"We're having a sleepover," I explained, seeing with a confused look.

"I am not scared!" Mega exclaimed, "You're the one who can't watch horror!"

I ignored that statement, perfectly well knowing it was true.

"I'm still staying over. Just in case." I winked.

"Whatever," he said, turning away.

"I'm turning off the lights!" I warned him.

'Go on.' he signed.

I laid down on the floor, beside the bed.

After a while of being uncomfortable, I got up and laid myself on Mega's bed.

He was kind of distantancing at first, but soon he put his head on my shoulder, wrapping his hands around me.

I smiled in the dark, as I gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"Sleep well."

"You too." came an answer.

I couldn't fall asleep.

Thoughts filled my head, some of them pretty disturbing.

I had interesting ideas on how to fill my notebook, but the problem was that they came at night, and I didn't remember them in the morning.

Maybe I could just write them down, but then I had to continue them.

I wasn't very good at working with drafts.

Poems formed in my head.

I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate on falling asleep.

Jacob's faint breathing, steady heartbeat... everything felt right.

Everything was the way it was supposed and meant to be.

I stared into the dark, the little lights of the pc winking feebly at me.

It was so peaceful and warm with Jacob.

And the new house...

It was a dream come true.

I smiled.

With time, Mega fell into a deep sleep.

But it came with a big price of having nightmares.

They tortured him, reminding him of his past, ruining his present and his view on the future.

They tormented him, waking him up occasionally.

Jacob internally sensed that something was wrong, as Mega kept turning silently.

Voices in his head were getting louder.

Mega's own voice was screaming in agony, but no sound came out, it was silent.

He was a mute after all.

No sound.

Unheard voice.

Inaudible voice.

Silent voice.
