"Kimberly, what the hell are you doing here?" Bucky said as he hugged me like his life depended on it

"Kimberly, what the hell are you doing here?" Bucky said as he hugged me like his life depended on it.

"Oh, I don't know. Thought it would be a nice place for a holiday. What do you think I'm doing here, I got captured by hydra!"

"Hang on, you two know each other?" Dum Dum asked interrupting out reunion.

"She's my best friends' girlfriend and one of my closest friends. Leads me to my next question, where the hell is Steve. He better not be over here as well."

"First off Bucky it's now Steve's fiancée and no he's not over here, he's back in the States."

Bucky looked down at my left hand and saw the ring on my finger. Slowly the biggest smile broke out on his face, like he had just heard the best news of his life.

"I can't believe that little punk proposed when I wasn't there! When's the wedding, wait forget I said that. It's obviously going to be when we get out of here. I can't wait to see that little..."

All of a sudden Bucky fell to his knees as he blacked out for a second. Both Falsworth and I rushed forward to grab Bucky to prevent Bucky from hitting his head on the bars. Clearly whatever hydra has done to him was taking its toll.

"Bucky what did they do to you," I asked as we helped Bucky over the cot to lie down.

"Nothing that I can't handle Kimberly, don't you worry. Now tell me what Steve has been up to."

"He's working for the USO office, he started with them just before I came over here with the SSR" I told Bucky, not wanting to spring the whole super solider thing on him while he was in this condition.

"Why did you come over here with the SSR?" Bucky asked as he tried to sit up.

"It's a long story, but you need your rest now. So I'll tell you the rest tomorrow," I told him as I tried to get him lie back down.

"Fine, but first thing tomorrow you are telling me what happened."

The first night in the prison as a long one

The first night in the prison as a long one. While everyone got what little sleep they could in the small prison cells, I sat on the end of the cot Bucky was on and watched over him. Part of me was scared that he wouldn't wake up when he fell asleep, it was clear he had some sort of concussion and who knows what else. The bruises on his arms and face ranges from the dark purple of fresh bruises to the yellow and green of ageing ones. I hated to think what they had done to him during his time as a prisoner, but somehow, he had managed to keep that spark that made him Bucky.
