The trip back to the helicarrier seemed to take forever. Loki eventually came to and spent the entire time either glaring at me or looking at me like he was trying to figure out who I was. I knew that I had to try to find a way to talk to him within out anyone watching. So spent rest of the trip trying to think who I could get to help pull of the near impossible task. I knew that Steve would, but there was no way he would know how to turn off the security surveillance system. Asking Tony was out of the question because there was no way that he would ever be able to keep his mouth shut. I didn't know Bruce well enough to put him in that position, even though I knew that he would help and not ask questions. There was no way I could ask Nat as she was ready to kill him for what he did to Clint.

Sighing, I was started to wish that I could have brought Charles with me. He would have had no problem making people forget I was there as well as knowing how to deactivate the security feed. The only person that I could trust was Phil, he knew about my past with Loki and would understand my need to talk to him alone.

When we got back to the helicarrier, Fury was already waiting with a whole team of agents to escort Loki to his prison cell on the lower levels. Tony disappeared as soon as he stepped foot on to the helicarrier, I assumed to remove his Iron Man armour and most likely to find a drink. I trailed behind the group as we made our way up to the briefing table, where we were going to watch Fury's interrogation of Loki.

More than anything, I wanted to spend the time trying to find a way to get Phil alone, so I could ask him if he would help me see Loki but Thor has other ideas. As soon as Loki was secured, he wanted to catch up on the time we had missed. He was so excited that he was talking a million miles an hour and kept swapping between English and Norwegian. I was happy to see that he had grown as a person since the last time I saw him and I was put it down to one thing, or one person really. Jane Foster, she was an astrophysicist who was in New Mexico when Thor arrived there. Technically, she had run him over but it didn't seem to bother Thor. He told me how after a fight that he incited on Jotunheim, Odin had stripped him of his powers and banished him to Midgard until the time he was deemed worthy of Mjolnir.

He also told me about Loki's true parentage. Loki true father was Lauffy, the ruler of the frost giants who has abandoned him as a baby after he was deemed too small to be a worthy heir to the throne. After Odin had defeated the frost giants in battle, he found Loki alone and crying. I don't know why he took Loki back to Asgard, Thor said it was fatherly love but I tended to agree with Loki's theory. He was taken to use as a bargaining tool if it ever came to it.

Finding out the truth had broken Loki, seemingly justifying his deepest fears that Odin never loved him. Everything that had happened lead Loki to lash out at Thor, blaming him for what had happened. After a battle on the Bifrost where Thor had to destroy the rainbow bridge and cutting Asgard off from the realms, Loki had fallen in to the abyss that was under the bridge. Everyone assumed he died and Frigga had cried for months at the loss of her younger son. So, when he appeared very much alive on Earth, the whole of Asgard was shocked. Odin using all dark energy he could muster, sent Thor down to retrieve both Loki and the tesseract.
