The days following the battle were almost as bad as the fight its self. Fury had tossed Loki into another cell but Loki didn't protest to it at all. He just sat there, looking at the ground. I had yelled the SHIELD head office down, demanding that Loki be let out but Fury wouldn't budge a bit. What surprised me was that Nat was backing me the whole way, in the time that they had spent on the roof they had bonded. I guessed they could understand each other as they had both been made to do things that they were ashamed of and had to live with those memories.
On the second day of debating Loki's fate, I had snuck out with the help of Steve and Nat and went down to the dentition level to see Loki. When I reached his cell, my heart broke for him. He looked like he hadn't slept in months, his normally perfectly styled hair was messed up and he had been striped of his Asgardian armour, leaving him in a lose pair of black pants and a dark green top.
"Hey there, cousin," I said as I deactivated the cells door with my identification card and walked in making sure to shut the door behind me, not wanting hundreds of SHIELD agents to come swarming in.
He didn't say anything, just looked up and gave me the smallest, sad smile I had ever seen in my life. I made my way over to the bed and sat down next to him. When I went to wrap one arms around his shoulders, Loki flinched a bit at my touch before leaning his head on top of mine.
"You do not have to visit because you feel pity for me," he said quietly.
"Loki, I'm not here because I pity you. I'm here because your family and I love you."
"I don't deserve your love, or anyone's! I killed so many people, innocent people! Their blood will forever on my hands!," Loki yelled as he jumped up and started pacing the cell.
