When the day came that Steve had to leave for the mission, I had to practically push him on to the plane. He didn't want to leave me and the baby and I had to keep reassuring him that I would be fine.

"Steve, I'm going to be perfectly safe here at the base. I'll be with Peggy and Howard. I'm more worried about you, it's going to be a dangerous mission. All I want is for all of you to come back safe," I told him as we walked to the plane.

"I know, but that doesn't stop me worrying about you."

"All I want you to worry about is getting back safe and sound with Bucky and the rest of the guy."

Steve stopped and looked down at me with a sad smile. I knew it was going to be hard for him to leave, it was hard enough watching him leave but we both knew he had to.

"I promise we will all come back safe and sound. I love you"

"I love you too."

"Hey what about us?" I heard Dum Dum call out from next to the plane.

"I love you guys too," I called out as I watched them board the plane.

Steve gave me one last kiss, then joined the rest of the commandos for what would hopefully be their second last mission.

Steve's POV

I stood on a snow-covered mountain, waiting to board the train that Arnim Zola was on. My mind should have been on the mission, but all I could think about was Kimberly. I was worried about her and the baby, I just couldn't help it. Bucky had picked up on my melancholy mood and had tried to cheer me up the whole climb up.
