The ride home was very tense. Jerome was completely quiet. Although I understood why, so I left him be.

I knew there was no point in trying to explain to him that he's still handsome because he wouldn't believe me.

As soon as we walked inside the house he took my phone and went somewhere. I have no idea who he's talking to, but hopefully, he'll tell me soon enough.

I took a deep breath, quickly changed back into the clothes I was wearing this morning and washed off the makeup. Then I walked into the kitchen and made tea for me and the ginger.

I carried the mugs to the patio and sat down on the out-door couch. It was raining. I smiled softly, inhaled deeply and covered myself with a blanket.

I leaned back and could immediately feel my head slip. I closed my eyes for a moment, which was a mistake because I dozed off in a matter of seconds.

I woke up and noticed I was being carried somewhere. A cold shiver rushed through my body. Then I looked up and saw it was just Jerome. I immediately relaxed and nestled into him.

"Gorgeous?" He rasped quietly.

"I'm awake. Who were you talking to?" " I muttered drowsily.

"Tomorrow." He said simply and opened the door to our bedroom.

He planted a tender kiss on my forehead and placed me on the bed. I immediately rolled myself into a blanket. He chuckled at it.

"You should take off those clothes." He sat next to me and buried his fingers in my curls.

"You're welcome to undress me. Just let me sleep." I mumbled and shut my eyes again.

I woke up and looked around. Jerome was nowhere to be found. I frowned deeply and immediately sat up. My frown deepened when I saw that I wasn't naked. He left me in my underwear. Something is really wrong.

I quickly jumped off the bed, put on fresh underwear and the clothes Jerome took off me. Then I immediately grabbed the security device, since Jerome still had my phone.

I checked every camera and found him in the music room sitting in front of the piano. My eyebrows creased with absolute confusion and I quickly headed to him.

I pushed open the door to the room and walked in. Jerome's head was hanging low and he was pressing various keys on the piano in random order. The whole picture was just deeply miserable.

"Ginger?" I spoke up. He didn't turn to me.

I immediately walked up to him and sat down next to him. His face was completely blank. I quickly grabbed it and forced him to look at me. His eyes were slightly dimmed.

"What's going on?" I was beyond worried at this point.

"We need to talk." He rasped out. I nodded.

He got up from the bench and walked out on the balcony. I followed him and stopped at his side. He leaned his elbows on the balustrade and started gazing at the city.

"What is it?" I asked and put my hand on his bicep.

"If there was a way to fix my face, would you want that?" He asked. I stiffened. What the hell is he talking about?

"W-why are you asking me that?" I muttered.

"Just answer the question." He sighed.

"Y-yeah, I suppose." I shrugged. He looked at me with creased eyebrows.
