"Tonight, we rise up." Dwight muffled out, pointed to the ceiling and stood up on the desk. I sighed and stayed seated.

"We are all Jerome. Each of you..." He let out a crazy, wheezy cackle.

"...is Jerome. That's the truth. All of us are Jerome. We are all..." He didn't get to finish that last sentence because the door opened abruptly.

My eyes widened when Jim and a dozen of cops ran through it. They immediately began shooting at the armed members of Dwight's cult. I promptly jumped to the floor and tried to run away, but Dwight clutched my hand and bolted with me.

"Dwight! Stop!" Jim yelled and swiftly tackled Dwight. I managed to stay grounded, immediately took my chance and legged it.

"You can't do this! This is the night of the awakening!" I heard Dwight behind me just before I got out of the building through the emergency exit.

It was drizzling outside, but there was a tiny roof over the door, so I stayed dry. I took a deep breath to quiet myself and calmly looked around. I seemed to be near the main entrance to the station since loud noises kept continuously coming from my left. I carefully hid behind a huge green dumpster and started observing the situation.

The police were cuffing numerous cult members and arresting them. Then I saw a cop walk out of the building with Dwight and Jerome's face in a bag. My eyes narrowed when I noticed that ass wasn't at all upset. He was smirking smugly, and the lady members of his cult were all screaming how much they love him. I scoffed quietly at the stupidity of some people.

Then another cop hopped out of a news van and walked onto the scene. Only he had bandages on his face. I frowned with absolute confusion and squinted to see if I wasn't hallucinating. Then I spotted a few strands of red hair sticking out from under his hat, and my eyes widened.

"No, it can't be." I breathed with shock. He headed towards Dwight.

I quickly followed him, trying to make sure no one would see me. The guy tapped the shoulder of the cop handling Dwight, and when the policeman turned around, he immediately stabbed him in the chest. My jaw dropped, and my whole body stopped working properly. Jerome pulled Dwight out of the car and dragged him towards a news van.

I immediately ran up to them. He then opened the back door and forced Dwight inside. I accidentally tripped on the gravel and caused a faint noise, but it was enough for the ginger to turn around and aim his gun at me. My eyes filled with tears when I saw the green orbs I loved so much, and I took a step forward in a daze.

"Hold it." He rasped. I frowned a little bit.

"Ginger, it's me. It's Grey." I muttered delicately and set my hand on my chest. He narrowed his eyes at me and tilted his head slightly.

"I know who you are. And I'm telling you to stop." He growled and cocked his gun.

My face fell, and tears started rolling down my face when I realised he simply didn't remember me. I forgot him too, after all. Only, my memory came back as soon as I saw him.

"Y-you don't remember me?" I whimpered. He shook his head.

"No. No, I don't. But I was told I cared for you." He croaked out. I chuckled humourlessly and yanked my curls.

"Y-you c-cared?" My voice cracked. His eyes flicked away for a few seconds.

"Well, yeah." He shrugged and lowered his gun slightly. My heart stung painfully.

"Please, let me come with you." I begged and took another step in his direction.

"Why would I want you with me?" He chuckled sneeringly. My heart shattered at his words.
