"Jimmy?" I spoke up after he picked up the phone.
"You're here?" He asked.
"You bet." I grinned to myself.
"I'll be right there." He sighed and hung up.
"I still don't like him." I muttered and stuck the mobile in my pocket. Jerome chuckled and got dressed in his black coat.
"That's still a compliment, considering what he did." His eyes narrowed a bit.
"Remember what you promised." I cocked my eyebrows. He rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah." He grumbled and got out of the car. I grinned and quickly followed him.
Tom sent me a questioning look from the van. I put up my hand to stop him from doing anything. He nodded and leaned back in his seat.
I glanced at the door leading to the department, and just then, Jim Gordon walked out. I quickly grabbed Jerome's hand and pulled him behind me.
Jim walked down the steps and noticed the cars first. Then he turned to us, and when his eyes fell on Jerome, they widened with complete shock.
"Jimbo." Jerome rasped happily and opened his arms.
Gordon's face fell, and he went back to glaring at Jerome with pure contempt. I snorted with laughter.
"These reactions are getting more and more brief." I remarked. Jerome giggled.
"Good, they're dull. Only yours was something to write about." He said suggestively and placed his hand on my bum.
I blushed madly and whacked his chest. He started cackling and took his hand away. I quickly looked back at Jim.
"As you can see, only his face changed; the rest remains just as irritating." I sighed. Jerome's laughter came to an abrupt halt, and he glared at me.
"Wanna see the supplies?" I asked Jimbo. He nodded and took a step forward. Then he froze and pointed at the ginger.
"How do I know he won't try anything?"
"My word?" I smiled awkwardly. He raised his eyebrows derisively.
"Not that I ever broke it, but whatever..." I shrugged and thought for a second.
"You want to check him for weapons? He'll let you." I proposed. Jerome looked at me with a completely baffled expression.
"I will what?" He growled.
"It's either that or you wait in the car." I grinned. He scowled and looked at Jim.
He was carefully observing the ginger's reactions. Jerome sighed and opened his arms, making me giggle happily.
"You shush." He grumbled. I pulled my mouth in a straight line and took a step back.
Jim hesitantly walked up to Jerome. Since he was slightly shorter than the ginger, he had to tilt his head up a bit when he stopped right in front of him.
I put my hands over my mouth, trying my best not to burst out laughing. Jim placed his hands on Jerome's torso and started patting him. I stifled a laugh.
Jerome glared at me. I winked at him and gestured for Tom to get out of the car. Jim finished checking Jerome, stepped away from him and looked at Tom and the men.
"Grace?" He narrowed his eyes at me.
"They're here to carry the crates." I explained. His eyebrows creased a bit.
