As soon as I woke up, I instinctively started patting the mattress in search of Jerome. My eyebrows creased when I was met with a cold, bare sheet, and I quickly sat up. Then, as if on cue, the ginger barged into the room. I flinched and gasped softly.

"Rise and shine, indeed." He grinned as he ogled my naked chest. I rolled my eyes and pulled the duvet over it.

"Is that a hint?" He cocked his eyebrows and headed to the bed.

"I don't like waking up without you." I grumbled and pushed my tangled curls off my face.

"And I didn't like leaving you, but I had to prepare something." He told me, plopped down on the mattress and made me bounce on it a little.

"What's that?" I muttered drowsily, crawled over to him and leaned on his chest.

"It's a surprise." He mumbled into my hair, kissed my head and wrapped his arms around me. I inhaled deeply through my nose.

"Have I ever told you you smell like cinnamon?" I muffled against his prison shirt.

"Every time you're exhausted. That's usually a clear sign I should leave you alone, but, uh, I can't do that now." He rasped. I shut my eyes and nestled into him.

"Grey?" He croaked and pecked the top of my head.

"Mhm?" I hummed sluggishly. He chuckled, cupped my face and started kissing it all over.

"Wake up, Gorgeous." He purred and moved his affections to my neck. I tilted my head back with pleasure.

"Do you think this is helping me wake up?" I exhaled deeply. He grinned against my skin, kissed it one more time and pulled away.

"How about this?" He whispered and suddenly licked my face right in the middle. I groaned with disgust, and my eyes popped open at once.

"I hate you." I growled and whacked his bicep. He snorted with laughter and pressed his lips to mine.

"Yeah, right." He smiled derisively and slipped his tongue in my mouth. I snaked my arms around his neck and melted into the kiss.

"We have to go now." He mumbled into my lips but at the same time slid his hand down to my bum.

"Oh, come on. Lay with me for a while." I purred and scratched the back of his neck. He instantly got covered in goosebumps.

"Jesus. I would love nothing more, but we really have to go." He groaned and reluctantly broke the kiss.

"I have something here that might change your mind." I grinned and gently led his face to my chest.

"Oh, God. Don't do this to me." He whined against my boob and gripped my ribcage.

"Mmm, that's it. Just give in." I cooed and stroked his hair. He finally caved, wrapped his lips around my nipple and started sucking on it.

"Good boy." I exhaled deeply and tried to lay down, but he held me in place.

"W-wait." He muttered and straightened himself up. I pouted heavily.

"Remember what you said about me a-and, uh, mummy issues?" He frowned and let go of me. My brain instantly took me back to that awful time in the news van.

"Oh, God. Honey, I didn't mean it. I was just trying to get on your shithead level." I sighed and cupped his face. He snorted with laughter.

"You did a good job. You really pissed me off." He told me and wrapped his arms tightly around my waist.

"Why didn't you throw me out of the car like you promised?"

"'Cause you smelled like a cupcake, and you turned me on like crazy."
