"One night." He pleaded. I took a deep breath.

"Do you want to stay with me?" He asked and gently rubbed my hips.

"We'll see how it goes." I sighed.

"I'll take it." He grinned and pecked my cheek. I chuckled softly.

"Wanna go for a walk?"

"It's raining."

"I know. You'll get to hear me grumble."

"I did miss your grumbling."

"Am I really such a grump?" He groaned, set me on the floor and stood up.

"You're both the most happy-go-lucky and bellyaching person I have ever met." I chuckled, grabbed my shoes and put them on.

"I haven't been cheerful for years." He muttered.

"That's already changing, though." He added and abruptly pulled me into him by my tugging on my hips. I winced as I collided with his torso.

"No one can make me smile for real besides you." He whispered to me and pecked my temple. I smiled against his chest.

"You hold this entire city in the palm of your freckled hand, don't you?" I sighed after Jerome nonchalantly opened the door leading to Arkham's grounds.

"Yes, but I won't crush it if you don't want me to." He grinned down at me.

"Such a romantic gesture." I sneered and stepped outside.

"It totally is."

"And you think threatening to unleash chaos on Gotham was romantic too?"

"Yeah." He nodded and walked up to me. My eyebrows shot up.

"I can't tell whether you're joking or actually think what you did to get me here was ok."

"The end justifies the means." He said plainly, grabbed my hand and started pulling me forward. I scoffed and pushed my wet curls back.

"Why did you cut your hair?" He asked as we walked around the gloomy grassy area.

"I needed to cleanse."

"Me?"

"If I wanted to rid myself of you, I wouldn't be here."

"Still, you cut it because you wanted to forget about me, at least for a while."

"I really don't like this perceptive version of you." I grumbled. He giggled and intertwined our fingers.

"You know, I remember earlier you said you were sure the lunatics here were throwing themselves at me." He noted smugly. I rolled my eyes with profound irritation.

"Well, aren't they?"

"Oh, I don't know." He inhaled dramatically. I groaned softly.

"Let's just call a spade a spade. You're handsome, charming, you have power, you-"

"Gorgeous, no need to dally with me. I'm already all over you. Also, I'm aware." He grinned cheekily.

"Shut up, you ginger sap." I snarled, ripped my hand out of his hold and started striding towards the oak. He chuckled behind me.

"You also stopped fighting me on the Gorgeous thing, by the way! Just saying, if you hadn't noticed!" He called. I pretended to weep, used my staff to grip a high branch and started climbing the tree.

"Hey! Wait!" He whined. I giggled, sat on the bough and looked down at the ginger.

"Are you serious?" He grumbled and kicked the tree.
