After Theo's goons tied Lee to the knife-throwing board, Barbara happily posed in front of her and grinned at me. I sent her a weak smile and sat on the ledge of the stage. Jerome then quickly plopped down next to me, wrapped his arm around my waist and pecked my cheek.
"You really like my midsection, don't you?" I chuckled softly as he started playing with my side.
"I like a whole lot more than that." He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. I stifled a laugh.
He abruptly wrapped his other arm around me and started pecking my face at a rapid speed. I broke into a fit of giggles, and that only made him double his affections.
"Hey, Lovebirds, are you calling Jim or not!?" Barbara lashed out at us.
Jerome rolled his eyes with profound irritation and pecked my lips one more time. I pouted at it. He clearly wanted to get back to kissing me, judging by his twitching lips. I puckered mine and smooched the air. He immediately grabbed my face, shoved his lips on mine and leaned on me a bit. I chuckled into his lips and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"What did I just say?!" She snapped. I broke the kiss and sighed.
"Yeah, yeah. Fine." I grumbled and slipped my hand into Jerome's pocket. He purred and seductively bit the air.
"Stop flirting with me." I ordered him and pulled out the phone.
"I don't know how not to." He grinned and pushed my curls behind my ear. I chuckled softly, and we both started leaning in.
"I swear to God, I will tie you two to different sides of the stage if I have to!" Barbara yelled and took a step forward.
"All right! Fine!" I shouted, dialled Jim's number and gave the mobile to the ginger.
He chuckled and placed it next to his ear. I leaned on him and started playing with his cravat.
"Lee, thank God-" I heard Gordon's relieved voice on the other side.
"Sorry, Jimbo." Jerome immediately cut him off.
"It's just little old me and my little Grey." He grinned, kissed my forehead and moved the phone to my face.
"Hiya, Jimmy." I forced a happy giggle.
"Jerome, Grace-"
"Are you outside?" Jerome gasped with mock surprise and straightened himself up.
"You are, aren't you?" He chuckled with delight.
"Oh, goody!" He squeaked adorably and grinned.
I couldn't help myself and planted an adoring kiss on his pink, freckled cheek. He looked at me with a playful smile and placed his finger on my lips. I swiftly pecked it, and his smile tripled in size.
"I swear to God. If you've hurt her-"
"Breathe, James. I haven't touched a hair on your girlfriend's pretty head." Jerome interrupted him once more. My smile faltered a little.
"Come see for yourself. This is live television, after all." Jerome chuckled, stood up and extended his hand to me.
I took it, and he gently pulled me up. Then he lowered the phone and started leading me towards Thompkins.
"Pretty, huh?" I muttered and nudged his ribs. He giggled and kissed my temple.
"She may be pretty, but you're gorgeous." He whispered to me. I blushed a bit.
"And I love when you're jealous. Reminds me how much you want me, Gorgeous." He grinned cockily.
"Shut up." I grumbled and pushed his smiling face away from me.
