I didn't like how things ended with Jerome yesterday, so I headed to his trailer in an attempt to fix it. I found him standing in front of it with his back turned to me.
"Jerome!" I exclaimed, trying to catch his attention.
He turned around, but it wasn't Jerome. It was his brother. Whose name I still didn't know.
"Sorry. I thought you were Jerome." I chuckled softly and stopped right in front of him.
"I still don't know your name. As you know, I'm Grace." I grinned and extended my hand to him.
He was holding a book and some papers in his hands. But he freed one and hesitantly took mine. Then he shook it stiffly. I let out a breathy chuckle.
"I-I'm J-J-Jeremiah." He stuttered out.
We refused to look straight into my eyes. I giggled softly and took my hand away.
He blushed madly, pulled his book to his chest and took a tiny step back.
"Jeremiah." I recited.
"Miah." I mused. His green eyes met with my grey ones for a split second.
"I like it. Would you mind if I called you that?" I grinned. He blushed even more.
"N-not at all." He smiled softly.
I glanced at his book and noticed it was one of my favourites. "Rome & Juliet".
"You like Shakespeare?" I asked and pointed to it.
"Yes." He nodded weakly and finally looked at my face.
"This is one of my favourites, actually. I'm rereading it because I've recently run out of new books, and I didn't get a chance to visit the library yet." He told me.
"It's one of my favourites too." I grinned. His gaze immediately moved back to the ground.
"Uh, I have quite a bit of books at my trailer. Maybe you'll find something you haven't read yet." I proposed.
His eyes lit up, and he straightened himself abruptly, causing his glasses to slide down his nose.
"You mean it?" He mumbled and quickly adjusted them. I giggled at his enthusiasm. He really is adorable.
"Of course, Miah. It'll be nice to share my collection with someone who appreciates good literature." I grinned at him. He smiled softly.
I glanced at the paper resting on his book and noticed it was some kind of a drawing. I got curious, so I swiftly reached out my hand and grabbed it.
A labyrinth.
I looked back up at Jeremiah and noticed he was blushing madly. Even his ears were bright red. I chuckled at it.
"You drew this?" I asked and waved the paper.
"Y-yeah, I-I like them." He muttered shyly.
"I like them too." I smiled softly.
Then I quickly grabbed a pen out of his breast pocket. But before I did anything, I wanted to make sure he was ok with it. I looked up at him and caught him staring at me.
He immediately looked away and blushed again. He blushes even more often than I do. I honestly didn't think that was possible.
"May I?" I asked and pointed the pen at the maze.
"S-sure." He nodded.
I smiled at him, pushed my curls behind my ears and quickly found the entrance with the tip of the pen.
