As if Bomin was not upset enough with the fact that the faint and distant idea of him and Juhui growing apart was turning itself into something discernible, that he had to become abreast with the assault on his sister as well. And like a cherry on top, Eunbi's— the uncanny woman who had toppled everything upside down ever since her arrival— revelation as the one who had carried out the burglary was making his blood boil like anything. Striding to and fro inside Yoongi's office after he had left, Bomin was not expecting a call from Juhui— as obvious as it was. Nevertheless, he ultimately got the chance to wear a candid smile— after a day full of trials— for Juhui had eventually made an attempt to reach him.

"Are you doing well, siste—"

"Bomin! Do something, Bomin! Someone is smashing the CCTV cameras, I bet it's her. She's here to kill me, I'm sure. I don't wanna die like this, Bomin, please do something!" Juhui shrieked from the other end, taking no stops or pauses.

It felt like as if she had her heart in her mouth, and her hitching voice was justifying that enough. Bomin could not speak for some moments, struggling to maintain his composure upon hearing such melancholic words being delivered by his beloved sister.

But he had to respond, or what might be the possibility that he would not regret it once time slipped out of his hands?

"I'm coming to your place. Don't worry, alright? Everything will be fine, nothing's gonna happen to you. Try to hold out till I arrive, hm? I'll be there in a matter of seconds. And stay on line, don't hang u— What the fuck!" Bomin irreparably lost his temper when what he was fearing the most had actually occurred.

Just before he was about to finish instructing Juhui on how to deal with the problem, the call abruptly ended from her side. The attacker must've gotten to her, was all that was swirling within his thoughts. Even though he wished not to let such wistfulness get to him, he could not help but surrender to the dark side of his conscience consequently.

Literally kicking the door of Yoongi's office out of his way, he began rushing towards the exit of his workspace, only to find a yawning man laying restlessly on one of the sofas that were nearby the reception.

"Took you too long to finally consider stepping out..." Yoongi's voice faltered as he prepared to take another drowsy sigh, amusing Bomin over how in the world could he be at so much ease.

"I thought you had left. Anyway, I don't have the time to chat with you. Juhui is in danger and that psychopath woman is once again behind all of this, as I presume. So, see you tomorrow? Gotta go catch an impostor." Bomin spared an icy glance at the man who was surprisingly wide awake now, as he stretched his leg forwards to leave.

"Wait, Bomin. Let me check myself where Eunbi actually is..." Yoongi trailed off as he fished his phone out of his pocket, before ending up displaying a twinkling red dot being stationary at the location where Juhui's house was supposed to be, to the anxious man and continued, "Seems like you were right. And seems like even I did the right thing putting a GPS tracking chip in her phone. She's the one who broke into Juhui's house yet again, I don't get what beef do they have with each other—"

"Goddamn it Yoongi, you can bluff on the way to Juhui's too! Let's get going now." Bomin intervened rather angrily when Yoongi did not look like stopping any sooner, and yanked him towards the car along with himself.

Now that Juhui had found herself trapped betwixt the same old ropes for one more time, she concluded that in no way would her assailant spare her life anymore. She had snitched on Eunbi after all, which led her to convince herself that somehow, she must have looked forward to a day like this. Though her being able to inform Bomin about the breaking-in in time caused her a considerable amount of relief, but as she lowered her gaze repeatedly to check on her condition, chills bolted up and down her spine every single time. Accompanying that feeling was an excruciating pain that was throbbing inside Juhui's head, probably because of the impact of that certain thing that Eunbi must have stricken her with, in order for her to lose her consciousness.

Accumulating all the force within her to make her voice reach Eunbi, she started to emit muffled cries— darted only at her. Frustrated, Eunbi kicked the furniture near her as she stood up to learn what the matter was with her hostage. In a flash, she had ripped apart the tape from Juhui's mouth too, which was restricting her from speaking. Bobbing her head upwards once, she signaled her hostage to tell the reason that she had called her for.

"You're sure you'll be able to kill me? Will you be able to handle the trauma that killing a person causes you? You don't wanna do this, Eunbi, I know you don—" Juhui could not complete her sentence when Eunbi interjected rashly, making her shiver because of the sudden snap.

"Shut the fuck up! You don't know anything about me, Juhui. You don't know what I've been through. You have no idea!"

Eunbi had not planned on disclosing her weaker side originally, but the look in Juhui's eyes was compelling her to let loose her secrets. She was merely a word away from complying to the female's urge. But Juhui's own reasoning happened to ditch her at last, when she wound up saying something that she hoped she had not, had she been able to turn back time.

"I can be your confidante, Eunbi. You can tell me anything, I won't judge. I might not have been there for you when it all happened to make you like what you're today, but I can assure you that I'll be there for you from now on. You're no longer alone, Eunbi. Speak up, open up your heart."

Eunbi took wobbly steps backwards when a wave of shock went through her mind, recalling her of the same promise that Yoongi had made to her. Even he did not keep his words, then how could she perceive Juhui as any more reliable than him?

"I hate promises." Mumbled Eunbi to herself as she matched her eyes with Juhui.
